I cannot expand the page
I cannot expand the page, so I can’t read it. The apprentice is too small. The page is to fill up my screen on my iPad. Now it does not. The little dots of the upper left are not functioning properly.
Problem logging in
Just subscribed Cant log in to iPad app. It tells me where to find account number but never goes back to sign in fields.
Terrible Doesn’t work
This app seems fine but doesn’t work only ads no articles show up. Besides the fact that is just a pdf viewer.
Could not log in
Selected digital subscriber. Correctly input e-mail & password. The app would not accept them. Great magazine, but I will have to read it on my computer & not my phone.
Two Quick Suggestions
Hi there.
I haven’t used this app enough yet, but I’m willing to try it more (I’m really not a fan of Zinio).
There are many things that can improve the user experience, but I won’t comment there yet. It feels like this app was written by someone’s kid who knows how to write a basic iOS app but is clearly not a professional developer.
1. Use your WD logo for the app icon. What’s there now looks like a default grab that Safari makes for an icon when saving a web link to your desktop. It’s truly terrible. Why didn’t you use your logo in the first place? It’s gorgeous, instantly recognizable to anyone in the know, and it’s your brand.
2. Change the title on the icon to something that fully displays — and displays well. What we see is, “WRITER’SDIG...” The icon I have on my for a saved webpage link to my WD Tutorials subscription fully displays “WD Tutorials” without truncation. WD, WD Mag, and WD Magazine are all shorter, so each should fully display.
These two items, alone, make me question the authority of all the articles you publish on “building an author platform” and any other marketing. People really do judge a book by its cover, and I keep passing over the icon for this app when quickly scanning what I have on my iPad. This just looks like a bad, default save-to-desktop icon.
Once I use the app more, I’ll add more. There are many user experience basics missing.
This app gets the basic job done, but it truly feels like an absolute minimal effort.

Back Issues Are Gone
Cancelling my subscription after five years. Absolutely disgusted. Dealing with Zinio App Support has been a nightmare except for Debbie who is the only one over there who tries to help. The magazine is just not worth the headache.
Much Improved - Love it
The new app is so much better than the old. I have had no problems with it and the issues are available in a much more timely manner. Thank you for listening and creating a new app that I really enjoy using!
Lost Everything I Paid For
I have tried everything to restore purchases. No dice. The developers of this app have essentially abandoned it. Utter crap.
iTunes Subscription Lost
Update- I found a work around. Delete the app, then power cycle your device (just deleting won’t work, you have to power cycle). Re-install the app. Once you’ve re-installed, follow the directions in the app to restore your purchases (this worked on an iPad Pro 10.5 and an iPhone 7+, each in the exact same way). Because the app is still broken I won’t change my rating but maybe these steps will help someone else get back their purchased issues.
Since the App updated to the new version I can’t access new or historical issues with a valid iTunes subscription. I’ve tried following the in-app instructions, deleting and re-installing, nothing works. I have ten months left and a lot of issues that should be available based on past subscriptions that aren’t there anymore. Please fix this.

Deserves a 0
I have been an avid subscriber for several years. The latest “update” has taken all of my issues. I have tried to jump through all of the hoops to reinstall and restore my iTunes purchase to no avail. I sincerely hope this situation will be remedied. I even tried to email for support but was put into a loop that I could not so much as send an email for help.
The magazines are great... but if I can’t view them, what is the point! All those previous issues are also gone... one remark stated that early issues are not restorable...
So disappointed!!
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE online until this is remedied!!!!!

Lost everything
Should be zero stars. All my issues are gone. And while it tells me the new issue is available, it never shows up because I. Can’t. Access. *Anything*. I have signed in over and over and tried to restore purchases and—nothing. All those issues—gone. Don’t update! Better yet, find another way to subscribe.

You're on your own
A lovely app, with allows you to read the magazine offline on your iPad. However, they don't tell you when the next issue is coming, and it appears to be later than all other methods of reading it, still waiting for the March issue which has been out on Amazon for a couple of weeks now :( there is also no way to contact them without your account, which isn't shown anywhere. Such as shame as well, as the magazine is great, but the app isn't maintained well enough.

Doesn't work with subscription
I also have a subscription from the website. I was excited because I assumed it would transfer to the app. Wrong. This app is a disappointment. Make it more streamline for customers who already subscribe to the digital version.
Doesn't work with digital subscriptions
I ordered a digital subscription from the web site over 2 weeks ago but still haven't been able to gain access. Nobody responds to my requests for support, and the app does not provide a way to enter current subscription information. However they have no trouble sending you numerous marketing emails a day. Terrible. Don't waste your time.

Always late
The Junot Diaz issue has been on the newsstands for 3 weeks and it's September 21st and the digital issue is not available. No other digital magazine I subscribe to is ever 3 weeks to a month late to appear on iPad.
I won't be renewing my subscription. Don't subscribe to this magazine, go read it in Barnes and Noble for free.

No February version
The Feb version has been out for a while but the app simply does not feature it. I am a subscriber and am being denied access to content that I've already paid for. I've written to the magazine but they just ignore my email. Dissapointing!
Delayed Issue Problem Fixed
Due to unforseen circumstances, we were delayed in publishing the iPad editions of the January and February 2015 issues of Writer's Digest Magazine. We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that future issues will be published on time. Thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve this matter. --F+W Media App Team

What is happening?
So I just bought a subscription. It says it starts w latest issue, which is shown on app icon btw, but there is no new issue and it wants me to pay for the issues listed. I will complain to Apple and have this app pulled if something doesn't change soon
Where are January and February Editions?
They are in stores, but not in the app. I wasted $20 on a subscription that has net me zero new issues.
