Out of state listener
I love it, since I had problems getting this station using the NPR app. The WRKF app is much more reliable and I get to listen to the programs that I listened to when I lived in Baton Rouge.
Very unreliable
It’s great when it works, which is about half of the time. I can I have several bars on my reception with 4G and it just drops out. I guess it’s worth what I paid for it. It is very annoying when I am walking around with my dog listening to something on NPR and the program just goes silent. Then the app spends several minutes reloading and searching before it regains the signal. It just keeps doing that over and over again.

This is a great way to listen to WRKF when away from a radio. It provides an easy way to keep up during work.
Can listen anywhere
Love that I can stream this station wherever I am.

Whether I’m catching up on new stories or listening to a favorite story again, this app has me covered! It’s especially nice to go back to a story that I wasn’t able to finish on first broadcast.
Unable to report bugs
Recently 5 second sections of dialogue have started to repeat within the segments. I am unsure if this is happening over live air also but I can’t even report the issue as every option available in the app gives me an error.
HD2 Dropped
Very disappointed that WRKF has decided to drop the HD2 stream from the app.
App Has Greatly Been Improved
When I first started using the app a few years ago, it had many technical issues. It has greatly improved in the last year. Especially the online listening. Great app!
Buffer repeats
Overall a great app, but occasionally it starts to repeat the buffer and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app.
Repeats segments very often
App often stops and repeats the same segment over and over again. Developers need to check packet sequence numbers better or something. Something is off here.
Great away and at home!
I expected to and do enjoy the WRKF app when traveling. Somewhat surprisingly, it is also great to use at home in Baton Rouge. When I want to listen to NPR, streaming through the app and playing it on my Bose speaker via Bluetooth sounds much better than my old clock radio. I appreciate being able to listen live or to find a missed piece or show. Good job, WRKF!

I have been listening to WRKF for 35+ years and have been a sustaining member for 20+ years. I love being able to here my favorite station wherever I go.
Very good app
Now I can easily switch from HD to HD2. The app is easy to use and I can listen to my favorite shows.
