About

WTN App turns the paper waste transfer note into something you finish on your phone, on site, in under a minute. It is built for UK waste carriers: solo operators, skip hire, and small fleets who need a proper record for every load and cannot afford to lose one. HOW A JOB RUNS A waste movement is one chain from producer to carrier to consignee. Each party signs their own step from their own phone: • The producer locks in the waste lines, EWC codes and destination. • The carrier captures vehicle, driver and a photo at pickup. • The consignee weighs the load and confirms receipt at the receiving site. The next party is notified the moment the previous step is signed. If the receiver is not using WTN App yet, sign-and-share lets the carrier hand off alone and the receiver picks up the chain from a link later. Nobody has to install anything to receive a note. WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL A lot of waste work happens on rural sites with no reception. Every step saves on the phone and syncs to your account when you get back into signal. You are never stuck because the site has no bars. EWC CODES WITHOUT GUESSING Type what the waste is and the app finds the 6-digit EWC code. Drivers do not need to memorise the catalogue. HAZARDOUS WASTE Hazardous EWC codes flag themselves. A load that mixes hazardous and non-hazardous lines splits into an HWCN and a WTN inside one chain, with no double entry. Dangerous-goods fields (UN number, proper shipping name, hazard class, packing group and more) are captured with the movement. Hazardous notes are kept for the full three years the regulations require. RECORDS YOU CAN ACTUALLY FIND Every note is stored digitally, searchable, and exported as a PDF for each party. Standard notes are retained for two years, hazardous for three, in line with UK duty-of-care rules. No filing cabinet, no lost carbon copies. FOR MANAGERS Small fleets see every driver's transfers in one dashboard, with a compliance score and quick access when the Environment Agency asks. BUILT FOR THE DEFRA MANDATE From October 2026, waste receiving sites must use DEFRA's digital waste tracking, and carriers follow from 2027. WTN App keeps your records ready for that transition. Live submission to DEFRA is not enabled in this release. TRY IT Sign up and get 20 notes free. No card required. WTN App is not affiliated with DEFRA or the Environment Agency, and nothing in the app is legal advice.
