Great app! Too many notifications.
Downloaded for potential tornados, but the number of alerts for other news is overwhelming. It would be great if one could self-select the type of notifications desired (news, sports, weather, alerts, or all)

This app has saved so many lives and has helped to get information out very fast even if you don’t have access to good Wi-Fi the only issue it’s that if you don’t have Wi-Fi you will not be able to get alerts or anything so that’s the only down side to it but everything else it’s fantastic download it today it will save your life !

Keeps a person up with the weather forecast and dangerous storms and tornadoes!
App doesn’t stay on story.
When I get news alert, I click on the alert. It takes me to the app where I can read the story for 4-5 seconds before it disappears and another story appears. Very frustrating. I’m deleting the app.
Love WVTM 13 app
This is the only App I have on my phone and iPad for any news and weather related updates during the day and week. I had it before ya’ll started advertising it. As a matter of fact Taylor was just on. I also like the way everyone interacts with each other in between the stories and News as well as all the fun y’all have. My husband especially loves Sheri Falk so a big shout out to Sheri and everyone at WVTM! Everyone should have this app!

Would be a great app, but…
I have always liked the content and diversity of this app, but must give it only one star because of an issue that is absolutely inexcusable. It has to do with notifications. Normal notification behavior in iOS is this: if a number of notifications from a particular app has gone into Notification Center, and one of them is activated, the remaining notifications from that app stay in Notification Center until opened. In this app, if one notification is opened, all other notifications from WVTM disappear! This has been the case for a long time, and is especially problematic if one of these notifications is opened by mistake. While it is true that a thread of articles frequently comes up when a notification is opened, not all of the articles in the thread will be the ones that appeared as notifications, especially if one has saved a notification for several days. I have sent numerous reviews over the past few years concerning this, and feel that they have been ignored. In addition, it is inconceivable that I am the only person having this problem. The only workaround I have found is to copy the notifications, without opening them, and paste them into the Notes app; then, when ready to read an article, I copy the title from the note, return to the WVTM app, and attempt a search for the article—which doesn’t always work. This desperately needs to be fixed!

On some mornings it shows commercials and then go blank and back to commercials especially on weekends.

Too many fluff stories pushed as breaking news
Good for weather updates, but I finally decided to delete the app because of its insistence on sending push notifications for the most mundane human interest stories despite me having my filters set to “breaking news” only.

Interrupting
You should just post real breaking news, not weather going to be toasty, mayor doesn’t like something, covid numbers (ad nauseum), cat rescued by firemen, etc. It should be REAL and a matter of great importance. Otherwise, I love WVTM 13.
Radar
When I put in my location I want the radar to show a close up of my location. Yours doesn’t!! It gives me a written description of current weather and temperatures but I want to see the radar for Me. I hate to say it but if there isn’t storms I will be watching Channel 6 for my weather. 6 shows my area every time I open the app ( close up).
