MoreWxAlert does not provide push notification alerts. Instead, when the app is active, it periodically checks the weather service for posted notifications. These checks can be made in auto or manual mode, with intervals varying based on weather severity.
WxAlert covers a wide range of weather alerts including flooding, rip current, freeze, blizzard, winter storm, red flag, high wind, high surf, avalanche, thunderstorm, tornado, hurricane, and excessive heat.
In auto mode, WxAlert checks for weather alert updates every 1-4 hours depending on the severity. For example, thunderstorms trigger 1-hour updates, while sunny conditions set it to 4 hours. Manual mode allows updates every 1-12 hours.
WxAlert is available on iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices.
