Updated the Wyrdspinner description on the apple build 90 submission. I thought it leaned much too heavily into telling people how much everything was going to cost them before. "Every choice spins out the wyrd web of your story. Wyrdspinner is an AI-powered text adventure engine in which you build a living world, with a story companion of your choice. There's no fixed plot. The narrator listens, watches what you do, and responds to your choices. No two stories will be the same. This isn't a game, there's no levels, it's interactive fiction. This is a never-ending story, your story. Pick from procedurally generated campaigns — fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, slice-of-life — or build your own world from scratch. Choose an art style for rendered scenes. Session Zero walks you through your Guide, your character, the tone, and the stakes. At each story beat you can pick from 3 pre-generated paths, or get creative and take control by writing your own entry into the story. If you think a described scene sounds cool and you want to see it...you can, by hitting the View Scene button. You can export your story whenever you choose, it's yours. I built this app for myself to use, then realized other people might want to use it too, so I tried to make it something as accessible as possible. I've never built an app before...I hope you like it. A purchase IS required to enjoy the app, there is no free trial. Ongoing AI storytelling runs on tokens unless you. The starter bundle gets you going, after that you can use your own Gemini key to keep the story going, if you want. You can dial Difficulty up or down to customize how often you're having to pivot from a negative outcome. INTENSE AS YOU WANT - Candlelit, Torchlit, Bonfire, or Inferno. Dial it up to raise the stakes; down for a gentler read. ROLL THE DICE - When appropriate the narrator will roll dice. A failure means a negative outcome. Can you pivot the story back into your favor? DIFFICULTY level determines failure rate. VERBOSITY - Shapes the prose — Terse, Standard, or Verbose. Match it to your appetite for prose. READING LEVEL - Depending on how this app does, I may release additional versions tailored for different age groups. Every effort was taken to keep stories appropriate for users 13 and up.
