Disappointing Update – Please Bring Back Portrait Mode
I’ve used XAir Monitor Mixer for a long time, and it used to work great. On my iPad, if the app didn’t open in portrait mode, I could simply rotate the iPad to landscape and then back to portrait, and it would display correctly.
Since the latest update, that workaround no longer works. The app is stuck in landscape, making it much less usable on stage while I’m playing. I need to view it in a vertical portrait orientation, and landscape just isn’t practical in a live performance.
Please restore proper portrait mode support for iPads. It was one of the app’s best features, and without it, the app is far less useful for live musicians.

July 2026 Doesn’t Work at All Anymore

This app won’t connect to Xair 99% of the time. Yes, I’m on the xair router.
So far, so good
I was able to connect with the external wifi but I had to make sure the IP address was correct. For some reason it was automatically trying to connect to an IP address that was off by one digit. Once I noticed it and made the correction it connected right away

I paid for the App. Gig after gig, I was not able to connect to the mixer. Big disappointment.

App is not connecting to our external router. It does connect to Xair 18 internal router.
I see this may be a common issue from other reviews. Yes IP address is correct. Is there a fix for this? Hate to pay for something that we can’t use.

This work fine with an external router as long as you create a network and everybody logs into that network. Getting six people on all the time sometimes a challenge, but for five people it works fine.

First time i used it, it worked fine. And now it won’t connect at all

I cannot recommend this app. When I open the app it just shows a black screen and does not work. Very disappointing.
Broken with iOS 18
Been using for years with my band and was by far the simplest UI for band members to manage their own IEM mixes. Unfortunately it hasn’t been updated in 5 years, and has been broken by the iOS 18 update. You can launch the app, but it just gives a blank screen when you try to connect to the mixer.
Stay Away
Just read the reviews. You can download the app, buy the mixer you need and see it work. After that first time, forget about it because it’ll never work again. When you try it’ll go to a black screen and that’s all you get. And @apple will NOT refund you. Tried twice until they responded the decision was final. Assh0les won’t even read that the app doesn’t work. So, stay away and don’t waste time and money.

Works when it opens
App crashes on iPhone and has to be deleted and reinstalled to work; happens with my phone and my wife’s phone. Wish there was a fix. The app is easy to use and convenient when it works.
