Castling not enabled.
3 games later it will not allow me to castle kingside. Great way to cheat a game guys

God Awful
I’m actually shocked Skillz let something this bad be on their platform. First, the board is 90 degrees off (the right corner for each player should be a white square, not black) so it’s king on color and not queen on color like it’s supposed to be. The black king cannot castle kingside (though AI can do so as black) and I’ve seen cases where the computer will not allow legal moves. AI as white always goes e4 with some variation of Nf3 Nc3 and Bc4 almost always following. I’m only keeping this long enough to get the rewards for 25 and 100 practice wins and then I may set a speed record for how fast I can delete this off my phone.

Terrible!
This is the worst chess app I have ever seen. A 10 year old could make better. There are many bugs where the game will not allow you to make a legal move or the AI opponent makes a blatantly illegal move like moving its king into check. Black cannot castle king side and black queen rook pawn does not promote, among many other bugs. Also, the AI plays the exact same way every game at a 1100 level so games quickly become boring unless you are the one to mix things up.

Beginner friendly
Even though I’m a beginner I had a great time playing this game. Matches were quick and entertaining. There are different level leagues, cash prizes, and you can play against your friends!

Misleading
Great concept, good ui, shows you where you can move your selected piece in highlighted spaces, however it is not new player friendly consistently thrown into matches with ppl with experience or much higher experience when matchmaking at the lowest difficulty, sometimes when moving selected pieces they end up on wrong square maybe to small of boxes

GREAT FOR BEGINNERS!
If you’re want to learn how to play, THIS IS IT. I love how it guides you to where you can place your pieces. It also chooses opponents based on experience level so it’s very n00b friendly. I like the option to enter a “match code” to play directly with friends. Definitely a fun way to earn real cash prizes!
