It would’ve been perfect…except

So I’m playing one of a classic game boy Vance games and that would be Boktai The sun is in your hands. Now this emulator would’ve been absolutely perfect. The only thing is is a controls. The joystick needs work. It definitely needs work. Everything else works perfectly fine but it’s just a joystick and a controls that definitely needs more tuning

Exceptional!!

It is quick and easy and has a lot of options to help you enjoy your game like save states and cheats. The response is smooth and lag free and the automatic landscape mode is excellent! Love the haptic feedback. Just wish it had auto download of cheats and whatnot but that’s just me being lazy. Great job everyone!

great emulator

wish it had more consoles, and a cheat search menu like delta but runs way smoother and a little less hot then every other one

Good

It works nice and does things a emulator needs to do but the only thing that is “bad” is just you can’t reset the game after you load a save file to go to the one you previously were on.

Awesome emulator!

This is great-the skins make it seem like you’re playing on an actual handheld! It’s much more immersive than emulators on my computer. I love this! I haven’t experienced any issues and I’m playing Pokémon fire red. You don’t need the pro version to enjoy this app.

Can’t have no games

Horrible don’t recommend

Controller functionality

Enjoying the game thus far, games run smoothly and functions work as intended. However in the free version I don’t see an option to connect a gamepad and I wouldn’t mind paying for this but there is no clear indication that this is available upon purchase of the app. Some clarification on this would be appreciated, otherwise five stars for DS emulator functionality.

Great app.

Response from developer

Hey Mr. Flesh-stick, 👋 Thanks for the awesome review and for checking out XONE! 😄 You're right, we should make that clearer – using a gamepad is totally possible! You don't need to worry about any in-app purchases either. 👍 Once you've got your gamepad connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth, XONE will automatically switch over to gamepad control mode so you can get straight to gaming! 🎮 Happy gaming! 🎉 Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best gaming

I’m glad that I am able to play old school games again and I’m grateful and there’s no ads thank goodness it’s way better that way

Love it!

Was a little skeptical at first but caved in and bought it. 4.99 isn’t bad and optional but I definitely got my moneys worth. Highly recommend getting this!

Wow

I really like this app. It’s saves games and you can download multiple games and enjoy all your old school games. My favorite is super Mario world and Zelda! I really recommend to download.

Great App!

Used it for a few months & works great generally; it’s started randomly crashing in the last week which is annoying, but I’d imagine it’s only a minor issue & the developers will solve it pretty quickly.

Good

Does everything good

The game

By far one of the best apps I have used to play old games but the membership is the only part that bothers me but they have to make money somehow

Amazing software for my favourite games

Great emulator!

Works amazingly and is pretty simple to use, however the sound and video quality could be a bit better, as well as the controls. Second, you should add a part where you can directly download the roms needed to play games. Overall a great app and thank you for reading!

I like the aesthetic, but the controls aren’t that good.

This does run the games at full speed, but it has some problems. Updated review: The d-pad still doesn’t go diagonal. There is a thumbstick mode that goes diagonal, but this is only for GBA and not DS. We’ll need this on DS too. I’m glad DS is supported, but which games you can play is limited by the aforementioned d-pad issue. Also, I can’t press B and A with one thumb by tapping in between, which is needed in some games. Finally, the DS is actually missing some buttons. Start and select are needed. Also a back-to-menu button like the GBA emulator has would be nice.

Note to players – To activate diagonal on GBA: press menu, pick “Emulator Settings”, set Directional Input to “Thumbstick,” and then set Diagonal Direction Support to “on.”
