About

XOP Hoot-n-Holler puts your hoot channels on your iPhone. It is not a separate voice service: the app registers to your organisation's own XOP Networks deployment, hosted or on-premises, so the audio path stays on the infrastructure you already operate. A station on a XOP Networks system, provisioned by your administrator, is required to use this app. YOUR WHOLE TURRET, IN YOUR POCKET Every channel the station is wired with, on one screen - open, listening, and lit when somebody is talking in one. EIGHT TO A PAGE, SO NOTHING MOVES A turret is muscle memory, so tiles never reflow under your thumb. When a room two pages away starts talking, its page says so. FIND A CHANNEL WITHOUT HUNTING Type a name and the wall filters before it pages, so a match is on the screen in front of you rather than three pages away. THE ONES YOU REACH FOR, FIRST Star a channel and it leads page one. Your own override of the station wiring, kept on this handset. SEE WHO IS IN THE ROOM The switch knows every leg in a channel. Open a tile and it names them, and says who is muted and who is still on the way in. SPEED DIALS ON THE SAME WALL An ARD block is a number, not a room. One press rings a supervisor or another station without leaving the turret, and the dial lands on a full call screen - mute, speaker and keypad. NAME IT AND COLOUR IT YOURSELF Rename a channel and give it a colour you will recognise at a glance. The change goes back to the switch, for every screen that shows it. WORKS THE WAY YOU WORK Hold the microphone like a radio, or latch it. Monitor every room at once, or one at a time like a hardware turret. WHAT YOU NEED - A station on a XOP Networks Hoot-n-Holler server, hosted or on-premises - The server address, station and password from your administrator - Wi-Fi or cellular data that can reach that server Accounts are not created in the app. Contact your system administrator, or XOP Networks, to have a station provisioned.
