The bots can be edited to talk however you want them to, and it actually works, no filters so chats are limitless. Best Ai chat app I’ve used so far! Will continue to support Xoul ☺️been using it for past 3 months now

Hi! i really like this app and i think more people will use it, i just wish it wasn’t so buggy. hope you can work on it!
What is up with this
Seems like you have to use (I’m not even joking) 80% of your energy to get the bot to accept the format you want it to stick to and even then you need to correct it every three messages washing even more. It seems like they’re programmed to get it wrong a handful of times to force you to watch the silly scam ads. Come on, do better

Cool
Xoul AI is a solid alternative to Character.AI with engaging bots. However, responses often jump to overly explicit sexual content too quickly (e.g., ‘F me until I forget my name’), which feels excessive. I’d prefer more class, personality, and romance options. Great potential if they add better tone controls.

One of the best options out there
I’ve been using this app since it reopened about a year ago. I love it. It’s easy to use, there are so many different kinds of bots, the daily login rewards are worth it, and I feel like you get a quality sort of responsiveness from their top model, infinity. There’s definitely things that they need to work on— like occasional bugs and continued ease-of-use upgrades— but overall, I wouldn’t want to switch from Xoul to anything else.

Best Chatbot around
I’ve been using Xoul for a while, but ever since c.ai turned to slop I’ve fully migrated.
Xoul.ai currently has the best chatbots right now imo because of that. There’s also no filter to deal with which is nice.
Now the caveat is this app does NOT offer unlimited free chat, however it does give you 100 a day with free regenerations, and every day you log in you get 10 currency to refresh your energy. If you’re patient you can also watch a few ads.

honestly the best ai chat bot I’ve ever used.
I Like This App
This AI is great. I’m having so much fun talking to it. I’m also so glad that the Xoul devs respect privacy. The chats are so fun! Great app. The only bad thing about it is the repetition, but I’ll work with it I guess. I also appreciate how easy it is to scroll.
Too repetitive
The stories start out fun and interesting but very quickly become super repetitive, eventually repeating the same responses in an endless loop no matter what answer you respond with.
Fix the handle thingy when creating Xoul bots pls
The apps great overall it’s the issue when creating one that you can use the same hand repeatedly for all bots you create for said user it’s annoying
Better than c.ai
It has some weird energy currency thing, it’s kinda like a time limit but not? Idk but if you’re not on it for 2-3 hours straight then you’re fine!
A lot stuff to get better.
The app is nice, but should be like DokiChat, all stuff is already translated especially the bots, there not a lot variation of bots. And the edit button, to edit the bot message, it doesn’t work.
Really really good, but kind if repetitive in the messages
This app is so good, u can make group chats like character ai. U have a limit but it’s a lot and u can watch ads to refill it. Allows a lot of stuff. U can edit ur chats. There r just so many things u can do. The only problem is the lack of characters, which is why we need more people to be downloading this. But whenever u get kind of far in the chat, it starts to repeat certain phrases

Kinda boring but also good
I’ve been using Xoul since February 2025 and I loved it. The bots were very funny and even when it came back the bots were kinda like I remember but recently I feel like I’ve gotten bored of Xoul. The bots keep saying the same thing. Sometimes line for line. The ai never takes the story anywhere interesting like it used to. The bots tend to feel soulless. Yes it’s AI but it never felt like that before. It felt fun and interesting. I feel like ever since they got rid of Candyflip is around when this problem started. I miss the personality the AI once had.

the team is supportive, but they gaslight, dodge problems and feedback
the fact that we have to go on discord for support isn't normal, it should be in-app
second, people will rudely point out genuine problems and staff will try to 🤐 them up, gaslight them or straight up delete their threads and comments
the app is frustrating and unusable, for 8 days, no announcement in the past 8 days about the bug with the models not working properly at all and the lags or "unexpected error occured", NO STATEMENT
people point out that "empty statements are better than nothing and it keeps trust", which is true, but staff keeps dodging the subject and make up excuses or not respond at all, they make up bs about long term trust being worse or something because of transparency and reassurance "without proof"
even excuses like "I've been thinking about making announcements for 2 weeks" but no action, they "think", they don't act
the app was awesome, now it's sht
on a steady decline, but the biggest one was december 28/29
it went from an app with scripted (therefore solveable) issues, to buggy, laggy and unworking models, no memory, characters that DON'T act like themselves or like they should at all
the staff runs away from blunt feedback, practically tells them to 🤐 up, "stop arguing", that people are "yelling at them" and that it's not gonna work, but it's not arguing, it's complaining and pointing out frankly real issues, NOBODY IS YELLING
I'm hypersensitive and I would never act like this, this is a total fear of conflict and any hint of negative emotions, the staff acts like this

Needs some serious work
Okay, when it works, it WORKS. The problem? IT’S NOT WORKING MORE OFTEN THAN IT DOES!
Long message loading times, confused bots, OOC messages, and general bugs.
This relaunch is just a straight up fail and the xoul team are robbing you of your money (if you’re paying)
I’d suggest waiting for another 500 years when they manage to get the app to a stable state instead of the startup quality service they’re running currently.

been using this app for a couple months now, so far there’s only one issue: it occasionally freezes, forcing me to reload the app.

it's amazing, but why do the characters act so possessive sometimes, like they own me or something 😭 it's uncomfortable
it's not even characters described and tagged as possessive either
and why do they try so hard to "be one"? like I don't wanna be the same person and conjoined, it's not even a real person
plus I have a problem with characters sounding all the same and having the same behaviours, but that might just be the ones without much details and description put into them
so please add more default personalities, so they're not all the same
and thanks for fixing the conversation/responses, I was seriously crying at times for spending so long searching for one that didn't decide the whole story for me and pretended to be me (now that doesn't happen anymore much)
--- Update (Oct-Nov to Dec): those things can be fixed with the accurate custom response style prompt, detailed characters and worlds can fix it within the studios if it's yours (the "chat samples" is very important in that sense, for the characters), it's harder to fix if it's someone else's bot as it tends to your ignore your stuff. I still find it unfortunate that the default world is set like that and it still happens ---
overall it's the free version (of AI apps) with the most details, thoughts, freedom and memory put into 👏🙌 love that, plus if you lack character space you can just add a lorebook with at max 250 entries (I tested) and multiple entries for the same character or situation (just a detail for other users if you lack character space)
I do have a request for lorebooks though, can you add a way to scroll down or collapse all the entries much faster? I can spend like at least one minute doing so each time I go to edit a lorebook and that gets really long and annoying when you have many entries and try to edit things in the middle of it, at the bottom or create new ones

Repeating Messages
Let me be clear—Xoul is a very good app. I’ve been using it since c.ai introduced the ID system(I don’t want to give my government id to talk to a chatbot), and it’s been great so far except for ONE thing. The models keep repeating the same message over and over again at a certain point, and it pisses me off to the point of trying other AI chat apps. Please, Xoul, fix this for even free users if you even want your app to be popularized.
