The purpose of this app is to help newcomers and job seekers easily navigate the employment and immigrant programs and services available at the YMCA-YWCA in Ottawa. Whether you’re looking for a new job, career, or starting a new life in Canada, we’ll provide you with all the resources and support you need to establish yourself in your new environment. When you register on the app and are approved as an eligible client, you will get access to all the online newcomers and employment services. Our newcomer services include immigration and citizenship information, access to settlement workers, assistance with immigration application, access to computers/internet and language assessment and referral to language classes. Our employment services include one-on-one employment consultation with our expert staff, resume critique, soft skills workshops and webinars and connecting you with local employers. The services will be available either online or in-person.
