Good!

So far, so good with this app. I prefer the website, but I’m very happy with the functionality.

Good idea for an app, but lacking in features and updates

I'd be amazed if "Andosaurus" isn't a paid Yabla shill who wrote the review before mine.

Moving on, this app is a great idea. However, I'm still far from completely satisfied with it as a customer because of its poor execution.

1. No Chromecast support
2. Few and infrequent content updates (ie, Videos)
3. Not even close to being worth the monthly fee.
4. The app itself is almost never updated.
5. There's almost no videos longer than 5 minutes.
6. Aside from the music videos, most of the videos are quite boring, low-budget, and irrelevant to what's going on in the world & modern German culture. There are a fair deal of translated music videos which I found to be entertaining, but there's certainly not enough of them.
7. Why don't I, the customer, have access to all the other Yabla language apps if I'm already paying a subscription? Who in their right mind would pay for access to more than one of these apps? Hook it up, Yabla. Make your service worth what you charge.

The way the app is now, it should be a one-time fee paid app. There really needs to be much more frequent content to justify it being subscription-based.

If you're seriously interested in paying for this subscription-based app, I can only recommend trying it for no longer than a month.

I'll be cancelling my subscription soon unless Yabla makes some serious changes and improvements.. and I sincerely hope they do

Fantastic app!

This app has a wonderful approach to learning by allowing both languages to be displayed in subtitles in tandem while the videos play.

Each video can be slowed, paused, or skipped ahead and backward to each sentence spoken.

It also allows you to select any word for a complete definition.

The library is very large and growing, and it has a decent selection of videos in various difficulty levels.

It is a monthly cost, but I love having it in my collection of language learning tools.

Great app!

Good fun, but a few glitches

Could be improved. The app is not integrated into the emails members receive. New videos sometimes don't appear on the app, so an email with new vids leads to frustration if you want to watch them using the app, which is better than the iPad browser version.

Latest Update to App

I have my iPhone set to Deutsch to help immerse myself. Since your latest update to the iOS app, Yabla no longer shows up in German, but English, even though my phone is set to Deutsch.

All my other apps are fine and display in Deutsch.

Please fix ASAP!!
