It’s great that the Daily Brief popup is now easier to ignore once you’ve swiped it away but it would be even better if I could hide it permanently
Community is owned by teams
This app is a bot-infested wasteland. On many message board, there are a group of accounts ran by a same team for pumping stock price and induce people to buy. Yahoo profits from the fake engagement, making this one of the worst communities online. The community is just like a drug market, full of crooks.

However the adverts are not the best and I think you may be better advertising something useful instead of fanancial ads which are something I certainly would never pay.

Great for tracking stocks but you can’t post anything on their app without it being removed. Claims it violates their rules. Absolutely ridiculous.

Usually decent app
Have had this app for well over 10 yrs. Most of the time it works as a basic research and follow the market app. In the last few years it has progressively gone downhill. Too busy tryin to move into a realm that falls far short of the goal to replace higher level trading platforms and the whole purpose of it’s niche is lost. Currently not working is the ability to add lots to different lists for the same ticker. Limiting usefull tracking and research options. Not the first time features disappear or fail to function properly. Which is why it would never be a trading app to depend on.

Continues to fail
Yahoo Finance app continues to demonstrate ridiculous failures. Deleted a bunch of recent sales and closed positions. Won’t allow me to re-enter them because it deletes them again as soon as I remove the ticker. It hasn’t done this in the past. But what it does continually is it never adds proceeds from sales so I have to manually enter any of that money, otherwise it deducts it from your balance. The amount of manual entries is absurd. I can’t even reconcile balances between different screens, as a result, showing different total amounts depending on which part of the app you’re in.

Analysts are nothing more than over paid guessers. I don't need yahoo chiming in on what they think about stocks. Definitely seems like they try to sway investors in whatever direction they may be invested. If yahoo is short, 100% they post negative analytical views on a stock.

Almost perfect
Steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it shines. Easier to enter data on a PC using the web version. After that, using and maintaining on App is quite good. Love the customization.

Please make the ‘My Daily Brief’ floating tab optional. It’s always in the way and it’s not wanted. Please let me disable it or I’ll find another app.
