Long ago, a loyal servant named Yakko was punished — transformed into a paper kite and cast into the world of Tako, a realm ruled by a mischievous octopus and an endless, ever-shifting sky. There is only one way home: climb. Higher than the birds. Higher than the winds. Higher than anyone has ever dared. Yakko Tako is a roguelike kite-flying climber inspired by the woodblock skies of Japanese ukiyo-e and the centuries-old tradition of the yakko-dako — the arms-spread "servant" kites flown across Japan for good fortune.
