Total garbage
The new update actually made it worse. You have to manually connect it every time you use it and it only stays connected for a few seconds. I guess I was optimistic that Yamaha would fix it. This app is total garbage.

This app is not great and it’s not necessary. The phone should just connect to the bike without having to go through an app. One issue I continue to have is that it resets my clock every time I use the app. Which is only about once every few months because this app is not worth using generally speaking it’s mostly just for data collection for Yamaha and for no other purpose for the user.

Why don’t you fix it?
You updated the app to version 3.9 yet did not bother to fix the connection issue that everyone is complaining about. The app can connect once and then you have to remove the bike from your Bluetooth list to make it connect the next time. This is not useful for daily use. It used to work many months ago. This app is useless on iPhone as it stands right now.

Worthless
This app is absolute trash. I got it to work one time on my 2025 Tenere and I cannot get it to link up and stay linked up. Yamaha needs to figure this out because this is ridiculous.

This is by far the most useless thing I’ve used in a while.
Every time the bike is started it won’t connect. Have to forget connection and re-pair. The worst. Wish I could give it zero stars.

Won’t pair. Worthless. And who came up with the garbage turn signal switch gear?!? What a liability- the switch, not the designer. But seriously, no dedicated cancel button?
Worlds Worst App
This app makes me question Yamaha as a company. I’m able to connect the bike to the phones Bluetooth but the app constantly fails to connect. If for a magical reason it does connect it loses connection rather quickly. Yamaha…you are global corporation….please hire a few software engineers.

Can Yamaha engineering investigate the reconnection/ Bluetooth handshake process for the XTZ7S CCU? Your current app ecosystem has software problems that aren’t simply user setup errors.

Just like it has been, it will connect the first time when pairing, and either drop connection with the bike after a few minutes, or won’t auto connect when starting the bike the following time. Still a useless app.

Documentation is Poor
If people are having trouble… install the Garmin Street Cross app otherwise this is going to fail over and over.
The Street Cross app needs to allow siri control.

Yamaha Connect
This app is awful and does not stay connected to the bike. This means that whatever travel is recorded is usually recorded in multiple short segments and rarely records the full distance travelled. A 75km ride will usually be recorded in 5 or more segments and often with significant distance missed completely.

2026 Tenere and app doesn’t work. I did manage to connect once, not it won’t work at all. Shame that Yamaha went backwards because my 2022 tracer 9GT has more functionality
