I’ve been using this app since Covid in March 2020 the community was amazing. It was something special. Truly, something that helped people get through the pandemic and for others the reason that they might still be alive because of the loneliness that came with the pandemic.
Everything below is referring to the apps that are connected on the streaming side: MeetMe, SKOUT, yapp, tagged, etc.
Recently, the app made some changes regarding how much somebody could cash out, whenever you gifted somebody a 100 it would take 10% off of it and only show 90 was gifted, when you’re gifting, you are looking for that dopamine rush that dopamine rush is now gone because If I gift 100 and now I got stolen 10 coins from me by the app and I only see a 90 which makes me not inclined to gift anymore, the dopamine rush incentive is not there anymore. This app hosts something called the battle games every year. people qualify to be in the battle games and those people then battle each in several rounds and go against one another for the victor.
Another change that the app made is you used to be able to cash out so let’s say 80,000 diamonds the gifts that you got used to get you $200 sent to your bank account now they changed it to be 96,000 for $200 to your bank account and they also make you force convert diamonds. So that means you got gifted diamonds let me go convert that into coins so that I can then gift somebody else a gift with coins that will give the receiver diamonds. They are forcing people to reinvest in the app and every conversion the app takes 60% and the person that converted only gets 40.
The competition to qualify for the battle games ends Saturday night at midnight. What also ended that Saturday midnight was the sale, usually the app will do a BOGO sale, buy this many diamonds get this much free, they do this before the battle games to get people to buy more. Saturday night for example let’s say somebody swipe to their card for 1 million coins. As soon as it dropped midnight and became Sunday morning all of a sudden you did not have 1 million coins you had 900,000. You would go to gift 1 million coins, but it would only go on the person’s scoreboard for 900,000.
We tried to speak to them in a round table meeting listed our grievances. This was several weeks ago, and there is still no resolution. sure you may say it takes a long for companies to put in changes, but they admitted to us in the round table. They did not think much of the changes they did not do any research of how people may respond to these changes and they just did it without telling us to rip the Band-Aid off. If you can make that decision quickly overnight with no announcement, you could surely undo it. This app seems to want to attract new users that will blindly accept these changes. Do not download this app this app will scam you.

There is a social media button where when you click on somebody’s profile, you can follow their link and it’ll show the little picture of the app you’re going to. FIX IT!!!
For many who probably don’t think about posting reviews here. The app is down for many people!! It loads on android but errors out at our profiles and says cleaning up live theater. On iOS when we attempt to log in. It tells us based on the information provided we’re unable to use Yapp at this time. That’s an app issue. FIX IT!!!!

FTC nightmare
1. You have a right to opt out of any and all biometric data and still rightfully enjoy the service. Privacy is a right not a privilege
2. Privacy nightmare since it only allows sign up through apple or google. Many people use other email services.
3. They don’t enforce their streaming rules at all. People get blackout drunk for diamonds, smoke weed, meth, fentanyl.. girls often wear revealing clothing. And they don’t believe in free speech.
4. Many states have worker laws and protections. If you’ve earned virtual currency that is worth usd. They can not legally keep that from you if they ban you. By law they have to pay you.

Unable to Login
I am unable to log into any of my accounts. I even have leftover credits/coins that I’ve bought on my main Yapp account that the app won’t let me log into to gift streamers. This app is VERY shady.
Whenever I try to log into my account, I get a screen pop up message saying “Based on the information you have provided, you are unable to use Yapp at this time.”
It doesn’t explain why and it hasn’t told me whether the app is just updating something or if I am banned from using the app, which I shouldn’t be because I never have had a history of being banned.

I can’t convert diamonds
I can use the stream part of the app but when you get to convert diamonds Yapp will not let you do that!!! The email they have for support is unavailable they are crooks!
You can’t use it?
You can’t even use the platform or access it that makes no logical sense whatsoever. Zero stars if I could it looks like with the logo it was meant for something else not even streaming lol.

App keeps glitching
App keeps asking me to update PayPal even though it’s confirmed. Tried emailing support and it bounced back. Please fix this.
Better than skout!
I am a skout/meetme past user and those apps kept blocking my account. They were just horrible. Until I found Yapp live streaming. Which is literally linked to skout and meetme
DANGEROUS App! I’m contacting the App Store.
Do not trust this app at all. There is no number verification on it at all. There are online trolls that will use this app to make an easy profile and then go into a stream to harass someone. After this person gets kicked they will delete the account and make a new profile to harass someone. People around this app are starting to feel uncomfortable and this app needs to verify profiles.

It is not about meeting people. It’s about scamming people and making them wanna stay on the app and waste money to look important. Lots of scammers, manipulating dopamine and serotonin peoples brains as vibes.
