About

The things you've always meant to do — start them, one step at a time. Yay List is a wishlist app built for turning "someday" into action — whether it's a trip you've wanted to take for years, a skill you never got around to learning, or a habit you'd like to finally stick with. WHERE TO START Not sure what to write down? Explore 127 curated ideas filtered by age, energy level, and budget, spanning seven categories — travel, learning, physical challenges, creativity, relationships, service, and lifestyle. Each one comes with a ready-made checklist and searchable keywords, so you're never starting from a blank page. ONE STEP AT A TIME Big wishes break down into concrete prep steps automatically. Check one off and watch your progress move forward. Building a habit? Check in daily and see the streak add up. The moment you finish, a small celebration marks the occasion — your Yay Moment. KEEP THE STORY Jot down how you're feeling before you start, thoughts along the way, or reflections once it's done — with photos. Looking back later is half the joy. PLAN TOGETHER Want to plan a trip with family, or build a habit alongside a friend? Create a shared list, invite them in, and you'll both see progress, check things off, and leave notes together. Only the people you invite can see it, and you can stop sharing anytime. BUILT TO BE EASY ON THE EYES Every bit of text is at least 15pt, with generous tap targets throughout — designed specifically for people near or enjoying retirement. No squinting required. YOUR DATA IS YOURS Wishes, Yay Moments, and journal entries sync only to your own iCloud account. We don't run a server, can't see your data, and don't do ad tracking. If you share a list, only the people you invite can see it. Export anytime as plain Markdown and ordinary image files — readable even without this app. BILINGUAL The interface supports both Traditional Chinese and English, including bilingual trip descriptions on the Explore tab — handy for research and for sharing with family who read different languages. The things you want to do are worth taking seriously. Start today, one step at a time.

What's New in Yay List

1.3

October 18, 2026

• New "Footprints" map: see every country you've visited on one world map, worked out from the locations in your photos. Zoom and drag, and tap a country to see its photos. It all happens on your phone — photos are never uploaded. • Add countries by hand for trips without photos. • Tasting logs can now be attached to a trip or wish, for every kind of wish. • More complete exports, with file names and text in your chosen language. • Moving a wish into a shared list now checks that sync is healthy first. Also fixed the keyboard "Done" button doing nothing and "Save" being covered while typing.
