About

Most budget apps want to log into your bank account. yen-yen doesn't. You type what you spent, hit save, and get on with your day. That's the whole interaction. It's built around kakeibo (家計簿), the Japanese household-ledger habit that's been around for over a hundred years. Every entry asks four small questions: · Did I need it? · Did I just want it? · Does it feed something I love? · Did I see this coming? Sit with the answers for a minute. That minute is the point. FREE, FOREVER Multi-account ledger across cash, banks, cards, and loans. Multi-currency with historical FX so a coffee in Tokyo last March still reads in JPY but totals correctly in your home currency. Budgets and bill reminders. Kakeibo classification on every entry. CSV / JSON import + export. Photo attachments for receipts. Account deletion you run yourself. No ads. We don't sell your data. We never ask for your bank password. OPTIONAL ADD-ONS · Sharing a household ledger with a partner or roommate. · AI-assisted statement parsing — you paste the lines, you approve every row, nothing auto-saves to your ledger. · Longer audit retention. · Priority support. WHAT YEN-YEN WILL NEVER DO · Connect to your bank. · Auto-write AI guesses into your ledger. · Send push notifications about your spending habits. · Show ads. ACCOUNT DELETION In the app: Settings → Account → Delete. You get 14 days to undo it, after which the data is hard-deleted within 24 hours. The Data Safety form lists the same web flow at https://kensaur.us/yen-yen/account/delete. HOSTING + PRIVACY Hosted on Supabase, encrypted in transit and at rest. Privacy policy: https://kensaur.us/yen-yen/privacy Terms: https://kensaur.us/yen-yen/terms Made by kensaurus LLC in Tokyo. Questions or bug reports go to yenyen@kensaur.us — a real human reads them.
