Yolk & Roll

Your phone is the frying pan. There are no buttons in Yolk & Roll and nothing to swipe. Tilt your phone and the egg slides across the pan, carried by gravity, cooking wherever the heat is. The order tells you how the customer wants it. Move the egg over the heat, watch it change, and take it out of the pan and onto the plate at the right moment. Sounds easy enough. Then the pans start coming with walls, narrow gaps and heat in awkward places. While the egg is still raw it cannot leave the pan, so nothing you do can lose it. It has to set before it can get over the rim. Some orders want salt and pepper. And later on there are two eggs in one pan, which do not politely move together. One practice pan, then 20 orders. Each one is short and nothing is timing you, so you can take your time finding the angle, or go back for a better grade. Want an S? Take it out inside the green band. Too raw doesn't count, and neither does overdone. Don't forget the salt and pepper — get the seasoning right and there's a star as well. Buy it once.
