YDR app
This is a convenient opportunity to read the news when I don’t have the print edition. It’s easy to navigate all sections and I like the full news item displayed when it carries over to another page in the print edition. Still like the paper in my hand, but this is useful.

Crashes constantly
Since the May 12th update, this app crashes instantly on my iPad 2….IOS 9.3.5. Deleted, restarted iPad, reinstall……nothing….just opens and crashes within a second. It’s fine on my phone but who wants to read a newspaper on their phone!

I find it very satisfying to lay in bed reading the paper and not have to walk outside to collect it from the delivery box!

More sports coverage
Maybe 1/3 of York County population is of school age. Have you ever evaluated the amount of coverage you give HS sports? I can remember when junior high wrestling matches were given a column in your paper. My husband had to call in the results after a match, no matter how late. Now only HS sports are covered and often a day later.

This viewer app is very good to be able to read the newspaper just as it was printed & formatted. Much better than the other YDR scrolling app (rated 1 or 2 stars). However this viewer app sometimes has resolution issues whereby a photo description or cartoon will not focus & stays grainy, or pixel-ed. ( it’s probably an issue with the original server upload or the app, but this happens now & then. Zoom in/out feature is great, otherwise.

Good local paper
I enjoy reading this everyday. It’s just like the print edition but I didn’t get newsprint ink on my hands. It comes right to my “door”-no need to hunt for it among the bushes.

This app is great. It is easy to use, navigate and reliable. The ability to press on an article to review in a larger print is great too. I love being able to cruise through the paper.
I only wish the news and sports team could cover local sports as they did many years ago.

Try to open, says no internet connection, which I do have for everything else.

Locks up
Very recently the app locks up when i tap on an article to read. Nothing works to unfreeze it other than deleting the app and reinstalling it. That is the only solution. That is not acceptable. Come on guys, update your app and fix the bugs!
Locks up every time
The app used to be ok even though it was obvious that meant articles were written in the past because they had already been on ydronline,but now, while the opens ok and changes pages, as soon as I tap on an article, it looks up. I cannot scroll the article, change articles, or change pages. And this with a paid subscription.

Not Working
It worked until recently. Now the app just hangs and doesn’t finish opening up. Glad I spent money on a subscription, said no one ever.
