Tried to book a taxi from Thirsk Station to other end of town, 6pm on a Tuesday evening
No driver accepted the job
Cash seems to be the only way of making payment

Booking cancelled last minute
I booked a taxi to take me to the train station days ago. 10 mins (!) before the scheduled pick up time, I got a message saying my booking was cancelled because there weren’t any drivers available. Caused me to miss my train.
