Not practical to use without car

It says to use public transport but there is no way of filtering for walks near train stations, the train stations and railway lines aren’t on the map, and it sometimes says to take the bus but doesn’t say much else or link to bus company website.
I looked at two example walks and they seemed to be straight lines rather than circular.
Positive side: it’s a very clean-looking and easy to use app. The symbols that are there are good - e.g., you can see if it goes past a pub.

Amazing!

So grateful for the app! Amazing to have all the walks with relevant tags/categories and proper info in one place!

An excellent companion

Was looking for a walking app whilst travelling to the dales for consecutive weekends. The ease of usage and the following of the routes made the walks far more enjoyable as these are not necessarily public footpaths so very informative and simple to follow.

Great app and walks

We used this on a holiday recently in Gayle. The walks provided are excellent, we adapted the Hawes ones. The overlay of your position helps greatly to find the turns and paths to take. Throughly recommended.

Super useful easy app

I downloaded the app before visiting the National Park at the end of October 2023 rather than buying maps. Super easy to use although the routes I have walked were well used and marked but good to have a backup

Great app

Great app very helpful as it guides you directly to a car park. On the walks section, would be good to be able to see where they are on a map for reference

Great App

Over 30 walks we’ll set out for free. Fantastic.

Needs improvement

Downloaded this to check out the “miles without styles” walks claimed, but these were impossible to pick out without looking at the details of each walk. Once discovered this accessibility information wasn’t to be trusted, e.g. Smardale Gill was listed as limited accessibility when in fact this is one of the most accessible walks in the dales along an old railway line that is smooth and gently graded. App needs improvement to be useful and trusted.

Easy to use and helpful

Used this to plan alternative walks than we’d initially intended to do as when we got to the dales we were struck down by a bug & had to ‘downsize’. Maps were great because alternative paths the the suggested routes were able to be viewed & this enabled a shortcut to be taken on one walk where the intention outstretched the energy available! Will use again and have recommended to others visiting the area.

Great app

Downloaded this app after seeing it mentioned on social media a few weeks ago. Well just spent a week in the Dales and this app performed perfectly. Lots of info and walks we’d never have though of doing. Can’t wait to get up there again in October to do some more of the walks. A recommended download 👍 no downside to having this app if visiting the Yorkshire Dales.

Brilliant for walking

Used this app to plan & do walks in the Yorkshire Dales. I am not great at reading OS Maps. This app made it easy to find and follow walks, opening up areas of the Dales that we wouldn’t have thought to visit otherwise. App worked really well on the walk. Only thing they could improve would
be to improve functionality of ‘pinch and grab’ in the walk previews as that part of it doesn’t work that well.

Great app for shorter walks in Yorkshire Dales

Easy to use app and easy to follow map. Doesn’t need mobile or WiFi signal. Great choice of walks - just done the 6 mile trail taking in Askrigg and West Burton waterfalls, cracking!

Where’s Littondale?

I’m very disappointed that you haven’t any walks starting or passing through Littondale! Littondale is one of the best walking Dales in the Yorkshire Dales.

Great app!

I find walking in nature a wonderful way to unwind and keep fit. Just done my first walk from this app and it was brilliant. It made it much easier to find a great walk and walk with confidence. Map was clear and easy to use. Well done!
