Amazing time

Had an amazing time at YWP, saw some wonderful animals close up and all the staff we met were absolutely fantastic, what a great team. We became gold members on our way out. Cant wait to come back. 🥰

Amazing day

We have just returned from an amazing day at the wildlife park, cannot rate this experience more than five stars but would have if possible. The staff are friendly, the site is well signposted with brief but interesting information available for every animal. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the world around you.
The variations of animals available to see are good, with raised walkways and platforms so you can see them from the best advantage.
The whole area is kept immaculately clean and tidy by a constant stream of staff.
We really enjoyed our day - thank you

App works well - great wildlife park!

While pricey (£28 for disabled student and carer), the animals are well cared for with great enclosures and places to hide. Staff are always knowledgable and polite, and YWP is determined to help endangered animals with their breeding programs (so I don’t mind the cost of entry). Great varied theming with restaurants, many viewpoints to see the animals and various play areas for all ages, Yorkshire Wildlife is a brilliant day out and, in my opinion, worth the price.

For Profit Only - NOT for the animals.

One adult, one OAP and one disabled person cost £90 admission fee. If that is not enough to put you off, of the dozens of species advertised, we saw less than a dozen, and those few were pacing back and fore, clearly distressed by the poor environment they found themselves in. The polar bears looked extremely out or sorts pacing backwards and forwards on a short strip of grass with nothing resembling a compatible environment and no sign of any form of enrichment to enhance their clearly miserable lives. The single tiger we observed was walking around in circles, head down and looking very board with its life. Even the seals were just swimming back and fore in a pond which resembled little more than a a large garden pond.

Free the animals to a caring and respectful home and concentrate on being a dinosaur park. I am totally amazed that you have a licence to hold any of these poor creatures in the way that you have them imprisoned.

Great friendly and knowledgable staff members. Plenty of places to sit and have a drink and a picnic. A gem of a special place. We visited Amazonas for the first time and the staff member was very engaging and told us about the new additions to the park and his knowledge and passion for his job shone through.

Fun on foot

A great place to visit with all the family. Parking is great, lots of animals to see, tigers are awesome.

Fantastic day out

What a lovely family day out. We’ve never been before as we live over 2hrs away!
Everywhere looks brand new. It’s super clean and great viewing areas of all animals. Cafe and park areas great too. Will definitely be returning.

Pride of Yorkshire

This is a great places, it’s very well kept in terms of being clean and well maintained. The animals have massive enclosures and look in great condition/settled. Lots of toilets and picnic areas around the site, few cafes and eating places dotted about. Staff we spoke to was friendly and informative. Plenty of carpark space and staff around to point you in the right direction. Great day out for all ages ( play areas for toddlers too).. we will defo be back.

Still shows the old map ?

Download the app today in advance of a visit tomorrow. Much has been made of the new entrance etc yet the app version of the map is the now outdated one with the original car parks and entrances shown. Seems a bit strange

Happy ywp

I’m always satisfied when I been to YWP I absolutely love that place 😊😊😊😊😊

Love the park and love the app! Would be great to store annual pass bar codes in the app too though and cut down on the plastic

Tickets won’t download to phone

Bought tickets online - offered “download to wallet to save printing” but just crashes. Buying tickets online via this app was also slow and painful

Innovative idea for a fabulous wildlife park

Absolutely love this idea!
I come to Yorkshire Wildlife Park a lot and absolutely love how the park is constantly developing. The animals are always so well looked after and the keepers are full of information when asked. The app gets 5 stars from me for this alone, however it really is a fantastic information tool.

This app offers some great features with basic information about the animals, menu options for the catering facilities and a brilliant interactive map. It's great that the app offers feeding/talk times for each animals and the in app planner would come in really handy if you want to see absolutely everything.
I can only imagine that this app will grow over time and become and integral part of a visit to YWP.

A few suggestions for future developments would be a way for annual pass holders to store their cards within the app, similar to how iPhone wallet works.

It would also be a nice idea to include details about the animals individual to YWP for example the names or a little more detailed information.

Another cool idea might be a real world interactive element. For example when your at YWP there could be codes you could scan as you walk round that give you fun facts or a badge collecting system for example.

Overall a great information tool for YWP with room to develop and grow.
