AMAZING!!

This app brought me to the most breathtaking scenic locations in Yosemite that were not described, or even mentioned, in my guide book! (Two are Taft Point/The Fissures and Washburn Point, both on the road to Glacier Point.)
The narration is educational, and delivered in a friendly, congenial manner. Feels like he’s a friend traveling with me who is chock full of knowledge.
As other reviewers have said, the app works flawlessly, even in areas where there is no GPS or cell phone reception.
I am so grateful for this app. I have already purchased it for my next national Park trips.

Must-have for your trip

This app was helpful to know which lanes to be in to maximize seeing attractions in the park. We loved the stories peppered in along the way. So glad we discovered this app before the trip!

Great alternative to a real tour guide

Excellent value for the money. We were going to take a bus tour, but they were closed. Our hotel suggested this and we were very happy we tried it.

The whole family loved the Gypsy!

We were so glad we downloaded this and had Mr. Gypsy take us around Yosemite and tell us stories along the way. My 7 and 10 year old loved it, and even my hard to please hubby. I experienced the best Yosemite had to offer and learned so much, while also being entertained. I will not do another trip without this app!

Great application

Must have that application when you going to National Park for first time, please make one for sequoia and kings Canyon NP, with out guide is shutting in dark.

Fabulous app!

We have purchased this for seven different parks and it is awesome! Bryce & Zion, Yellowstone & Grand Tetons, Rocky Mtn, and Yosemite National Parks. The narrator is fabulous! He alerts you along the way with must-do stops and prioritizes others. In between, he gives short anecdotes about the geology or history of the area. His voice is energetic without being childish and the stories he tells are interesting. Every time we go to a national park, I look in the App Store for the GyPSy Guide for the area...it does not disappoint!!

Got my kids off their social media

Loved this app. Will look for it on all my future trips. Had it playing in car and every time it came on my boys got off their phones and shushed everyone so they could hear the interesting commentary. Very helpful info for Yosemite trails.

Must have app

We have used Gypsy Guide in other parks before Yosemite. Didn’t disappoint. This guide is easy to use, has so much info!! It stayed with us no matter where we were in the park and allows visitors to really enjoy Yosemite without worries of missing something or getting lost. INVALUABLE!

Ended up having a friend in the car

Researching, I ran across the Gypsy Guide for Yosemite National Park. For $5+ what’s to loose. We were so pleased at the points he pointed out that we would have missed. Also he helps navigate at turns and major routes. After Yosemite we went to the hotel and downloaded the Big Sur tour, just as informative plus 7 have to ding dongs, so you don’t miss out. This tour was $9+, but worth it. Highly recommend this app

Useful app worked as a guide

We enjoyed our tour around Yosemite with the audio guide in the car. Perhaps a little more history of the park, area, and rare plantation, animals would have made the audio more enjoyable and informative. It’s a good app to have, it also gave you instructions on where to turn etc. Worth the £5.99.

Gypsy Made The Trip So Much Better!

My wife and I learned about the app on the Yosemite Facebook page and also saw it in a Yosemite magazine. We decided to try it and were so glad that we did! We learned so much driving from place to place and all of the recommendations were spot on. It is also very helpful with where to turn, etc. We came away from the trip with so much more history and knowledge than we would have got by just doing it ourselves. Really cool and highly recommended.

This app is incredible.
Well worth the money. The guide sounds like someone I would love to meet!
Personable, funny, articulate and so informative! Around every turn seems something new and enjoyable to hear about! Such great information and just interesting to listen to.
Have just purchased the guide to Zion and Bryce Canyon trips and can’t wait to use it again .

Best App Ever Made for Yosemite

This made my Yosemite trip 1000x better. We drove into the park in the South Gate and I remembered to turn this app on. I was blown away at how you basically have a knowledgeable tour guide in the car with you! He recommended we stop at Glacier Point, then showed us the Yosemite Valley! Just buy this app if you are going to Yosemite, even if you have been there before this will tell you about facts and stories you didn’t know! BUY BUY BUY!!!

Amazing technology!

Whoa! This app absolutely made the trip to Yosemite perfect for us! We named him Papa and he guided us through every part of this national treasure. Plenty of advance notice when there was a decision on a turn to take or a picture opportunity...without him we would have been lost both geographically and educationally!
Although they give you a map when you enter, just save that for when you get back home! Papa gave us so much history and information on each feature that we may not have taken the time to research...real time and real eyes on the park feature as he described it. Use this app ...period! You will love it!

Must-have app for your visit!

I am so glad I heard about this app before taking a family trip to Yosemite! This app is absolutely perfect - it works flawlessly (even without cell service), the narrator is well-spoken and pleasant to listen to, and it is full of great facts and recommendations. We just started the tour, put the phone down, and listened to all the great info as we navigated the park. You don’t need to ever touch your phone. All of the information is automatically triggered by your GPS location. It warns you of upcoming points of interest, where to turn off, and gives hints about best parking options. This frees you up to just enjoy the views! It’s really like having a tour guide with you in your car. Absolutely worth the money! I will definitely purchase their other apps if we visit other locations they cover.
