You Speak Up

You Speak Up is a free way to tell your town what is working and what is not. Every city, town and county in the country has a place here. Search yours, open it, and say what you have seen. It is anonymous by default. You never have to give your name. HOW IT WORKS • Pick your community, or search any city, town, county or zip code • Write about how your town works, including how you are treated at town offices • Choose a category, such as police and public safety, water and sewer, streets and sanitation, permits and zoning, or customer service • Your words stay private unless you choose to let them be quoted • When neighbors raise the same issue, it becomes a documented community trend that can be carried to local leaders ANONYMOUS BY DEFAULT You do not need an account to speak up. Leave an email only if you want to be reached. You can see what you sent and delete your information at any time. MORE THAN A COMPLAINT BOX • A meetings calendar for your town • Petitions you can sign • Polls run by your community portal • A newsletter, if your portal sends one WHO RUNS IT Each portal is run by a verified resident or community group, not by the government.
