Amazing platform and execution of creating a true duel atmosphere. I would give 5 stars but although the game is free, greed has took the forefront. Enjoy one good deck because obtaining URs has become an obvious scam to force users to pay for gem bundles. Basically killed the free to play concept. One ranked ladder system is also ridiculous, with so many possibilities, the ladder has remained the same since creation with occasional events that only get played for the chance to finally get gems for playing and sitting through full games.

Incredible
I don't enjoy playing the physical TCG as much because disagreements about game interactions and rulings can sometimes take away from the experience. In Master Duel, I never have to worry about that. I can play for hours, improve my skills, climb the ranked ladder, and work my way up to Master Rank.
I hope that one day they release a version of the game with fully animated 3D monsters like the old Nintendo games. Even if it had a more limited card pool, I think it would make duels feel even more immersive and exciting.

Yugioh is mid now
Grew up on this game, the idea for the app is brilliant but the fact that everyone has turns that last an hour now and everyone is a sweat that trys to otk you it’s not even fun anymore. Need to make a mode that only allows classic ruled up to synchro summons and it would fix the issue for alot of players

Best game ever keep pushing this will last a century if u keep it up the cards are really understandable their good can make builds that don’t even to the deck and still beat tankers with different cards this game getting keep up the good work Konami god bless y’all

It’s good good everything is made great but the way yugioh has gone you gotta wait 20 minutes for the opponent to finish his/her turn for his combo to finish which is stupid so much for the good old classic card game

What’s the point of importing cards from Neuron?
Just spent hours and hours scanning hundreds of cards to build my original decks digitally. Imported them into Master Duel to finally battle with them, and it’s prohibited. Even in the solo offline modes. Absolute rubbish.

The game is good but other players that are already very good at the game are in ranks for new players not allowing them to have fun losing every match

Trash game based on luck!
Going first format coin toss is “50/50” but guaranteed with the bots you win 20-30% Leaving you at a disadvantage. Probably the worst game to be invested in. Dont even waste your money with the high prices for little regards. They know how to make a bad game and They only care for money so probably shouldn’t spend. If only they cared to fix the problems. Fix the game bc it shows how little they care

As a returning Yu-Gi-Oh! player, Master Duel has been a huge disappointment. The game has become incredibly unfriendly to anyone who grew up playing the older formats.
There’s no proper option to play classic Yu-Gi-Oh! the way many of us remember it. Instead, you’re forced into modern formats where almost every opponent is using Link monsters and decks that spend five to ten minutes on their first turn. By the time you finally get a turn, your opponent has usually filled the field with multiple negates, making it feel like you never had a chance to play.
The lack of matchmaking for older eras or permanent legacy formats is a missed opportunity. Many returning players just want to enjoy the game without having to memorise endless combo lines and watch half their opponent’s deck get played before they can do anything.
Modern Yu-Gi-Oh! may appeal to competitive players, but for returning fans it feels overwhelming, frustrating, and far removed from what made the game fun in the first place. A permanent classic format alongside the current game would make Master Duel much more welcoming for old-school players.

Plays great, spending money is optional
Like the title says, it works exactly as intended. The Android version seems to be very unoptimized, it barely ever worked on my Galaxy S22 Ultra when it was new. This plays just as well as it does on other platforms, and it has cross-platform play, so you can pick it up and play just about anywhere.
Recommended for Yu-Gi-Oh fans, but if you're already aware of the card game and haven't played, the tutorial did a great job teaching me how to play. I have hundreds of hours between platforms. Also like the title says, I've been playing on and off since 2022 and I've never spent a penny on it. Give it a shot.
