About

Give your child a happy first taste of words. YumYum Words is a vocabulary app for toddlers and preschoolers, built around the everyday things they already point at and ask about. Instead of plain flashcard drills, every category moves through four gentle stages — see it, match it, remember it, hear it — so your child meets each new word four different ways. FOUR STAGES OF PLAY 1. Word Learning • Hand-drawn cards for fruits, vegetables, animals, insects, birds, sea animals, dinosaurs, flowers and trees, jobs, things around the house, shapes, colors, and everyday activities. • Tap a card and the word is read aloud, so your child sees the picture and hears the name at the same time. 2. Pair Matching • Every card on the board has a twin. Your child hunts down the matching pairs, and hears the word again with each tap. 3. Memory Game • The cards flip face down, and your child has to remember where each one was — the quiet, focused kind of play kids ask to do one more time. 4. Listen and Select • The app says a word, and your child picks the picture that goes with it — the last stop in the cycle, and the one that ties the other three together. WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL • A big word library: more than 250 words across 15 categories, from first words like apple, dog, and bee to a closer look at the outdoors — maple leaves, dandelions, dragonflies, woodpeckers, and dinosaurs your child will be proud to name. • Gallery mode: swipe up, down, left, or right through the cards for as long as you like. No rounds, no scoring, just browsing. • Adjustable difficulty: switch between Normal and Many to change how many cards come up in a round. • Made for small hands: big buttons, uncluttered screens, and nothing to get lost in, so even young children can start a round on their own. • Fresh every time: refresh a category and the cards come back in a new order, so no two rounds feel quite the same. • Progress you can see: a dashboard tracks how far your child has come in each category, with badges along the way. • Seven languages: English, Korean, French, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and German — handy for bilingual and multilingual homes. GREAT FOR • Little ones just starting to talk and put names to things • Curious toddlers and preschoolers who want to know what everything is called • Families looking for screen time that feels calm and unhurried

What's New in YumYum Words

1.1.0

August 15, 2026

Now starts in your language • On first launch, YumYum Words follows your device's language instead of always starting in Korean — and it remembers the language you pick. • Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and German join English, Korean, and French, for seven languages in all. New: Gallery mode • Swipe up, down, left, or right to browse the cards freely — no rounds, no scoring, just a relaxed look through a category. Also in this update • We went back through the word labels in French, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and German and corrected a large number of them. • Cards in Word Learning no longer count a single tap twice. • A redesigned language switcher on the dashboard, plus bigger buttons and card areas for small fingers. • The app version now appears on the Settings screen. Thanks for playing — more to come.
