Absolutely useless I can’t connect to WiFi
Disappointed
I have to say that I am very disappointed and frustrated with the zgrill app. Not only was it a pain to connect to my WIFI, the app itself would not identify my model of grill. I discovered that my grill comes up under the WIFI as a different device just by simply unplugging it. I couldn’t get the app to do anything with the grill at all. I found it much easier to do everything manually. Sort of defeats the purpose of getting the latest and greatest WiFi product they offered.

Absolutely brutal to use
An hour and a half ago I changed the grill temp from 275 (starting temp) to 225 (temp I’m smoking at). The app still hasn’t updated, and refreshing does nothing.
There are 2 versions of the app. Neither works. It’s actually pretty impressive to produce two separate apps that both don’t work.

App rarely worked
App doesn’t sync with the smoker well. Temperature report from the smoker is often out of sync with app. Also why do we keep having to log on? Its a freaking grill, not my bank account.
Terrible
If I could give it a ZERO rating I would. Every (not exaggerating) time that I go to use the app I have to re-login. Not the worst feature I’ll admit. The bad part is that EVERY (not exaggerating) time I use it, I have to spend time reconnecting the app to the grill. Most of the time I have to reinstall the app. It’s deplorable

Awful
Such a horrible app, I wish Zgrill would actually try and do something about the app.
No wifi connection
I have never had something with WiFi option not connect. First, you need to disable your 5G, then they say the WPA3 needs to be disabled. That’s a bunch of hoops that I don’t think should be occurring in this age of technology. Either fix the app to accommodate tech, or upgrade the wifi on the grills, or both. We were looking forward to using wifi on our grill, now we literally cannot.

Bad app, try scroll 2.0
This app never would connect to my 11002B. Found the zgrill2.0 app and it works.
Horrible, just horrible
This app is so bad. Same issues as others and now mine suddenly won’t even connect Bluetooth. It’s just a horribly designed app.
Worst customer service ever
My 1100b will not stay connected to WiFi and have emailed and called z-grills-with only response is-that it must be my internet-disappointing
Very inconsistent
I just can't get the app to work consistently, it updates slow on temperatures, and generally just can't be counted on.

The app is terrible
The app connects to my grill but it will not display current temperature of the smoker or the temperature of the probes no matter how long I wait or how many times I close the app and restart it. So don’t waste your money getting the upgraded smoker with wifi
App Limps Along
The app barely works. Often buttons won’t push, signal won’t be picked up or temp won’t read. If you bought the WiFi version on purpose, this app basically negates it. Please Z Grills, update this app.
Most awful thing I’ve ever seen
The Wi-Fi on my Grill 702C does not even work. It’ll go only so far with the app and waiting to connect to the Internet and it won’t connect. It’ll find the grill. It’ll find my routers. It’ll do everything but connect to their network or whatever is happening that’s wrong and I don’t think they even know what’s happening and they told me be fixed by the end of May that was two months ago then they told me you’ll be the end of this month and that’s June 22 today but geez Sommer will be over by the time they get it fixed and all I keep getting is a promise of it getting fixed, it’s stupid

The same thing how can that be fixed because that’s why I got the 11002b and anyone have answers to that question

I love the smoker itself. It does a great job heat is pretty constant and gives plenty of room. The WiFi is one of the worst as well as the app. Every time you phone goes off you have to put in username and password it’s to the point I don’t use it. So all in all Smoker good, app and WiFi not worth the money.

App issues
Can you please fix this app already?!?! These grills cost to much for the app to be this bad!
App Does Not Work
I got it to work once. Then it would constantly disconnect from my wifi. And now, I can’t even get it to connect to the app at all despite following all directions and support suggestions. Useless. You’d think the engineers and devs would put a little more time into their app if they want to compete with the other big brands… this one falls short.

Barely works
I just bought this new grill and one of the main reasons for this model was for the WIFI feature. I’m pretty tech savvy, and it took me 40 minutes of troubleshooting to get it to connect to my grill, and then only to find out that it loses connection fairly easily. I have a nice router and high speed internet that I can get 2 houses down at a BBQ, so that’s not the problem.. and it says you can connect this grill via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, but if you turn off your Bluetooth, the app tells you you have to enable your Bluetooth in order for the Wi-Fi to work. Makes no sense .I hope Zee grills gets this app fixed soon..
