Good content bad UI

I like the contents of this app and it’s my go to for finding halal food but the app is really in frustrating to work with. The biggest problem is the part when swiping to go back opens up a reels and the back button on screen is not obvious. The other problem I have is that the map is too small that I have trouble interacting without exiting or clicking on something else.

We updated the app per your suggestions - let us know if we did it right and we’d appreciate another star or two if we did

Jazakallah khair

Amazing App! Highly Recommend!

I’ve been using this app for a couple years now and it’s become a major part of my daily routine when looking for food, especially when I’m traveling to somewhere new. They’re always working on improving the app, making it easy and enjoyable to use!

Updated

I wanted to update my review as the new version of the app that was rolled out is significantly better. I really appreciate the easy icon to spot truly Zabihah halal restaurants and also the Halalrank number. I do still hope you guys will continue to advertise the app to communities and restaurants, that will allow for more reviews to come through.

Junk

This app used to be one of the first halal place locations app and used to be very good. Restaurants, stores and masjids used be listed separately. If you moved the location on the map, it used to update the halal location and show available places on your screen. Plus you could adjust the radius of search. But now everything is mixed and confusing. Basically almost useless. Why???? Why can’t everything be simple???

Samir’s Review

Zabihah has been my go-to app whenever I’m traveling to a new city. It’s helped me discover so many great local spots I’d never have found otherwise. Super easy to use and always reliable — love it!

Ok can be Better

The UI design is better than before. However, there have been quite a few errors or crashes when using the app for just 10 minutes. I also think there should be a folder or section where people can create a personal list for the restaurants they want to try. I also think if Zabihah works with yelp to get pictures &/or reviews it would help as well. All in all, Alhamdullilah that I have access to a feature that allows me to easily and quickly find Zabihah restaurants

Still not logged in

I put my number in 2 hours ago and still it’s loading

Bugs, long waits, and do and so.

For the past weeks now I have been able to open up the description of a halal place showed on my list or map. It just brings me to somewhere called “falansai” and glitches and just Dosent load anything whenever I click on a halal place to check it out on lists. I was hoping this would get fixed and be foreseen by the developers of the app, but I guess not and there’s just been so many bugs with this app before I don’t even know how to explain it

Major changes

I appreciate the major changes made to the app. At first, the new app wasn’t working. Now, it’s working smoothly. However, it’d be nice if there was some Google Maps integration, including Google Maps reviews.

Great App

Looking forward to all the updates on this amazing app! Will make going out to eat halal food with family and friends so much easier and accessible!

Permanently closed

I never found this helpful but I've just logged in after ages - after looking up the top 2 halal places listed in my town, I discovered they're both permanently closed. Furthermore, there isn't an option to report a listing - I've emailed you guys the names so, hopefully, no-one takes the address from the app & makes a wasted trip in actually going there, but I don't think I'll be back here for a while.

Sad

This was very useful specially when I used to travel in new places or even when I am in town, it used to show groceries store and halal market but unfortunately Its not showing this anymore, they should have reviewed the policies what they are doing.

Response from developer

Groceries are back this week - this was a mistake

New update is great

With this new and improved update the app is running perfectly! Excited to see the new features they seem to be adding soon as well

This app never works

It’s frustrating. They haven’t fixed the login issues. None of the methods are functioning. Using the web site on a mobile browser doesn’t work well either.

What’s the point offering online services, if you’re not going to develop them properly. This app fails to serve its intended purpose. I come back every once in a while to see if anything was fixed. Nope.

Do better.

Can you try downloading the new version and logging in again?

Need login?

Why am I forced to login to just check out & find halal restaurants?

Edit 1: I got a response that login is needed for social media and new features. I don’t want or need those features. I don’t want to share my email and location with you. No need to force people to create an account in this app.

Edit 2: Thanks for removing the login wall. Obviously, it makes sense to require login for users that want to leave reviews and photos. Guest mode will make it much better for a broad set of users.

We've discussed as a team and we will re-introduce guest mode in the new version of the app coming right before Ramadan. You'll be able to find restaurants without logging in, but a login will be required for adding photos & reviews. This will be the case for both the web and app version. Thank you for your patience.

Maintenance

Been waiting for something like this. Hopefully it’s kept up to date.

Good app, but glitchy

Needs massive improvements. Still good idea as an app, even if app doesn’t work.
