About

Zafonyx Local (formerly Password Safe Vault) is a local-only password manager for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. Your passwords. Your vault. Your peace of mind. Zafonyx Local was formerly known as Password Safe Vault. Same local-first app, new brand. The vault stays on your device. There is no Zafonyx Local account and no vendor cloud vault. Included free 1. Security — what protects your vault • AES-256-GCM encryption, with the whole vault in an encrypted database — not only the passwords inside • Master key sealed in the Secure Enclave on supported devices, opened with Face ID, Touch ID, or your app PIN • Screenshots and screen recordings blocked; on Mac, the release build refuses to start when a debugger is attached • Secure input wipes what you type the moment it is used 2. Everyday use — unlock, generate, search, 2FA • Master password, plus Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID on supported devices • Password generator • Categories and multi-term search; Quick Search — ⌘⌃P on Mac • Built-in TOTP, with import from Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator • Auto-lock and clipboard auto-clear • Security page highlights weak, reused, and out-of-date passwords • Available in 12 languages 3. PIN recovery — if you forget your PIN • Recover with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode • If the unlock key is lost or damaged, the app says why and offers an explicit reset — nothing is erased without your confirmation One-time purchase Buy once in the App Store to unlock, on this device: 1. Sync between your devices — encrypted, local only • Over your local network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), encrypted end to end • Post-quantum session keys (ML-KEM-768), confirmed with a one-time PIN; your lock PIN never leaves this device • Share a few categories one way: show a one-time QR and PIN, and the receiver cannot write back into your vault 2. Backup and restore — sealed with your passphrase • JSON import and export • Sealed with a passphrase you choose — the whole file is encrypted, titles and notes included • Authenticator codes are in the backup too Not a subscription. The price can differ by region. Already purchased? Your unlock keeps working even when the App Store can't be reached. Requires iOS and iPadOS 15.5 or later, macOS 12 or later, and visionOS. Security Zafonyx Local has no published third-party security audit. Encryption and decryption stay on your devices. Support: service@sihuic.com Publisher: Beijing Sihuichuang https://www.zafonyx.com

What's New in Zafonyx Local

2.3.0

October 28, 2026

What’s New in 2.3.0 Backups sealed with your own passphrase • Export files are now encrypted with a passphrase you choose (at least 8 characters) instead of your device PIN. • The whole file is sealed, so category names, entry titles and notes are as unreadable as the passwords inside. • Authenticator accounts are in the backup too, so a restore brings your codes back. Sync already carried them. • The file no longer contains your vault master key. Its key comes from your passphrase, is used once, and is wiped. Lose the passphrase and the backup is lost — the app says so when you create it. • Backups made by 2.2.x and earlier are refused, because they exposed the vault key to anyone holding the file. Make a fresh backup from this version. Share a few categories • New Share tab on the Sync page: pick the categories to hand over, and this device shows a 5-minute QR with a one-time 6-digit PIN. • Only the categories you pick travel, plus the authenticator accounts linked to them. One device receives. • The receiver cannot write back into your vault. This device refuses it for the whole session, even if the other app tries. • Five wrong PINs close the QR, and the first successful delivery ends it. Sync is encrypted end to end • The pairing token and PIN no longer cross the network in the clear. Every sync request and response is encrypted. • The scanning device no longer needs your lock PIN. Each session shows a one-time PIN under the QR — type it on the other device. • Session keys use post-quantum ML-KEM-768, so a recorded transfer stays private against future quantum machines. • Each handshake works once, replays are refused, and both devices must run 2.3.0 or later. Update the other device before you sync. Fix • The summary after a sync or share now reports what the transfer carried, not the size of this device's vault. Local-first password manager. Your vault stays on your device. No Zafonyx Local account. No vendor cloud vault. Questions? service@sihuic.com
