About

Zalte is a spatial collage tool that replaces rigid grid layouts with a free-form canvas for layering photos, digital paper, and adhesive tape textures. Instead of forcing images into fixed frames, the app allows for manual adjustment of element depth, rotation, and placement to replicate the tactile experience of physical scrapbooking. It is built for users who want to compose visual narratives without the constraints of traditional template-based editors. For digital journalers and mood board creators, the frustration of standard layout apps is that they often lack the organic, layered feel of a real notebook. Zalte solves this by providing a workspace where you can toss multiple photos onto a background, slide translucent tape stickers over the corners, and tuck paper scraps behind images to create a sense of physical depth. You select your source images, choose from a library of high-resolution textures, and drag elements until the composition reflects your specific aesthetic. The app functions as a digital desk where every sticker and text block can be scaled and tilted to fit the specific gaps in your visual story. Your compositions stay organized in a chronological gallery, allowing you to reopen any past project to swap a photo or tweak a caption before exporting to your device. Every element—from the grain of the paper backgrounds to the specific adhesive look of the tape—is designed to maintain visual consistency across your exports. When you finish a piece, the app generates a high-resolution file for your system photo library while keeping the original editable project within the Zalte internal gallery for future adjustments. All image processing occurs locally on your device to ensure your personal photos remain private and are not processed on external servers.
