Very nice.
Amazing
At first it was a lot of trial and error, same to be said for the desktop version, or any 3D software. Yet it has become second nature and something I use every day. I reach for my Ipad to sculpt and practice forms more than using my desktop lately. And when I do use the desktop version the same workflow, and options are all there, just a different UI for the most part.
I am hyping this because though learning and practice with this app can be difficult and frustrating at times I have only benefitted from pushing through.
I truly cannot sing its praises enough. As after going on a year now I am constantly learning new things and tools that compound and improve the use of it.
Sure there are things I hope they improve, such as more customization, better documentation, and other minor things. However, if you work past the growing pains, if you are new or unfamiliar, you will be rewarded with S tier creative potential with this app.
Happy sculpting!
Meh…medocrity be thy name.
The best, ignore the negative reviews.
Really interesting but could be a little bit more user-friendly
Would love to give this a higher Rating… But
Response from developer
Hello Eren Yanno, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing trouble with ZBrush for iPad crashing. Is the crash only happening with this file or is it happening with all of the files? I have files that are over a GIG in size loading into ZBrush for iPad but if you could share this file with us on our support site, www.maxon.net/en/support-center, we could take a look for you.
ZBrush is great…sort of.
ZBrush on IPad
I don’t understand how this is rated so well
Amazing but crashes a lot
Response from developer
Hello Sorry to hear about your crashes when merging Subtools. We haven't encountered this issue on our end, so it would be great if you could create a ticket on our support site so we can investigate further. You can do that here: https://support.maxon.net/hc/en-us. We might need to look at your model to see what's causing the crashes and ask you a few more questions. All the best
Updated with Zmodeler!!!

Previous: Sadly No Zmodeler
I was so insanely excited for the release of ZBrush on iPad. Being able to easily sculpt on the go without the hassle of lugging around a laptop felt like a game-changer. The interface is excellent and intuitive, and it really shows so much promise. This app should warrant a five star review… However, I rely heavily on ZModeler in my workflow, and its omission from the iPad version is a real disappointment. I thought I could work around it by saving the brush from my desktop version and importing it. At first glance, that seemed to work. But there's no way to bring up its menu using the on-screen buttons. I figured a simple workaround like using the space bar on a Bluetooth keyboard might solve the issue, even though it defeats the purpose of a touch interface. Unfortunately, the keyboard doesn't bring up the menu, nor does a Bluetooth mouse. It’s truly unfortunate that the absence of one of the most critical brushes has turned what could be a magnificent, professional mobile version of ZBrush into more of a casual toy. With just the simple addition of Zmodeler, it could easily be a fully fledged tool for serious work. I truly hope Maxon considers adding support for this all important brush.
Response from developer
Hello Corwin, we understand how important ZModeler is for creating with in ZBrush. This is something the team is working on for a future release. We need to factor other items for ZModeler on iPad, for example not all iPads have hover state and the ZModeler Ui will also will receive an update. Your feedback is important to us, please contact our support team at https://www.maxon.net/en/support-center -> Support Requests and we'd like to follow-up.
Absolutely great start, but…
ZBrush on the iPad is great for jewelry design!
Wonderful to have ZBrush on iPad!
Edit: Last update added S for keyboard size shortcut! Perfect, thank you devs!
Number keys still not useful. The first 3 are mapped to stroke recording and playback, which I tried to use, but it isn’t working in current state and just causes the view to randomly rotate.
