Not a put you to sleep app
I was looking for something to relax the brain and mind. This game, though most enjoyable, is not a just before bed Ap. This is a great game for exercising the mind. I find it very stimulating, it forces you to think of clever ways to solve the conundrum.
The only thing I have to suggest is after a player has solved the puzzle, allow us to see how others solved their challenges. I have a curious mind and wonder if others used the same method or was their solution different.
Thank you for developing such a clever game. I look forward to many hours of entertainment.

Calming to the Noisy Mind Through Logic
I love the simplicity, and yet the complexity of each puzzle! It is based on particle physics. The graphics are just amazing! I love how challenging the puzzles are, and at the same time soothing to my brain. I like, that this game lets me think outside the box for the solution. I am glad, there is no clock to beat. I like to read the Chinese proverbs at the end of each game. It is great for anxiety and to calm the mind. Before I know it, I am more mentally balanced. I also like the music. It is not irritating.

Relaxing but Challenging
This game is literally the perfect balance for a game. It’s relaxing and pleasurable, but challenging enough to keep your attention. I’ve enjoyed every moment spent with it. Was well worth spending to get the extra levels. I played until I had a perfect score on each puzzle. Thank you for a fantastic game.

This game is amazing!!!!
This game is very meditative and the music is soothing. Also at the same time this game challenges your brain and mind to problem solve to complete each game. Remember, If you mess up or make a mistake, it’s okay because it’s only a game and you can press the restart for that level. You don’t have to start all over again.
There’s something very satisfying, like a release of anxiety when you solve each level. Like seeing each tiny piece of sand being collected.

Thank you for no ads
I hate ads. I’m not interested in free games that make me look at them, ESPECIALLY a game that is supposed to be relaxing. I just finished the free season of the game and as soon as I’m done with this review will be buying the rest. If I had been forced to watch ads, I don’t think I’d feel the same. It’s reasonably priced, and it is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for this game :)

Would prefer ads over in app purchase
I LOVE this game. It is so so relaxing and just wonderful. I thought to unlock the other seasons I would have to get a perfect score on the first season, so I did and they still are locked. It seems like such a small amount to get for free...at least maybe get 2 seasons free? Otherwise, I would just prefer ads instead of buying 3 seasons after playing 1. It’s so relaxing I’ll just be playing season 1 over and over for now.

Absolutely love it
My mom suggested this app to me when I started struggling quite badly with anxiety. I quickly grew to love it, as it’s got a very peaceful gameplay, and lovely music in the background. Even just tonight, I was having a complete meltdown cause it felt like everything was going wrong, and I was really overtired. After lighting some incense and curling up in bed with this game, I was once again feeling balanced and peaceful. Thank you so much for making this game, I highly recommend it to people who have a tendency to get anxious or stressed.

actually calm you down!!
I downloaded this app while having a panic attack I was desperate to find something to make me feel better and came across this app and boy am I glad I did, right when I got to the 3rd level it distracted me and made me forget about my panic attack, the calming music, the satisfaction it’s perfect. I’m very grateful for this app :)

I am still enjoying this app so much. I've only completed Autumn, am almost done with Spring, and have done about 1/3 of Winter. It Is definitely challenging my ability to anticipate and engineer solutions. But it feels great to succeed while using as few bamboo poles as possible.
When I complete this set of puzzles (which only cost 2.99), I know that another set (which will take a while to finish) will only cost 2.99. I never spend money on apps, but this one is a delightful exception!
My only fear is that it could get "improved" too much. The way it is now is just perfect. The music is wonderfully calming.

Very nice, but needs more levels...
It’s a good app no doubt, but I paid to unlock all the levels and with medium amount of time I completed ALL of them in less than 48 hours. When you pay any amount for an app it should last a lot longer than that before you complete the whole thing. There should be tons more levels. Doesn’t need to be like Angry Birds, but should be a lot more.

Calming and peaceful, but still interesting
This game is quite soothing with its sounds and visuals. But it still makes you think which is good. It seems to help you develop economy of thought I problem solving. At first I just bulled through the game using redos, but now I try to cone up with the clever solution on the first try by giving myself time to think it through. I’d recommend the game.

I was going through a hard time, this helped but a little boring
I was going through a very stressful time and I went on my phone to see if anything could calm me and I saw this app and thought I would give it a try and when I started playing I was drawn into the game and felt a bit better but it gets pretty boring after a while but that’s the only thing that is bad the rest is very peaceful and good

Worth the download
I typically don’t download games because they distract me but I decided to download Zen Sand because I can play it while offline. I like to play this game during car and bus rides because I can save my battery and data by turning my data off and putting my phone on low power mode. Calming to play with earbuds on loud commutes!

Finding my Center
I have recently been overly stressed with my job and suffering from a horrible "work vs. life balance". I don't sleep well anymore and it's hard finding something that can "quiet" my thoughts, my fears, and my worries. I found this app while sitting in an airport late one after noon. I literally played it from West Coast to East Coast and by the time I reached home I had found my Center...found my "Zen". Thank you for creating this app. For those of us "taking the world by storm"...we too need something that can help us come within and find our "Center". Thanks much. ~Solomon

Relaxing, Enjoyable
This game really does its job. It's not only entertaining, but also calming. The puzzles in each level (I bought the full set) are engaging enough to take my mind off other things while playing, without getting complicated enough to become frustrating. There's a nice progression from one level to the next, too. The game introduces new abilities and goals at a gentle, easy pace--but there's enough new material at each stage to keep me from getting bored. Plus, the ambience music and graphics are consistently soothing. I only wish there were more levels! (Maybe there will be in the future--fingers crossed.)

Slow Start & Now Hooked!
I first downloaded this game because I have major insomnia and it looked relaxing. However, instead of relaxed, I was frustrated to begin with. I wasn't sure how the scoring system worked and wanted top scores! Once I was rested and opened the app again, it was obvious that the fewer bamboo rods used the higher your score (I was clearly sleep deprived!). I really love how this extremely simple concept can greatly challenge the mind and one's ability to problem solve. Now that I have completed all 16 free levels with the highest score, I will be buying the remaining "seasons" to unlock new levels! The question now? Do I buy them tonight and risk staying up all night to complete another set of levels, or get rest like a responsible adult and play tomorrow? Lol

Simple and yet challenging
As with most things meditative, focusing on what's important isn't always straight forward. So it is with Zen Sand. You can blast through the levels or you can take time to practice each level until you have mastered the placement and timing of each stick. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do.

Thought provoking and therapeutic!
My only complaint is that I finished all the seasons and wish there were more levels! Some commenters have mentioned a glitch with the lanterns, but if you read all of the directions, the game tells you that you cannot have a bamboo reed overlapping a lantern or the lantern will not work. Every time I was careful with my bamboo placement, the lanterns worked fine!

The best game to relax and meditate while it keeps you thinking of only the game and takes your mind off of everything else. So relaxing and I love that it keeps getting more challenging and stimulates your mind to find solutions while your listening to the relaxing music and beautiful background! Most relaxing game in the world
I have been searching for a relaxing game to play before bed and I have FINALLY found it! This game is very relaxing, especially with the sound on. it is fairly easy, though the challenges get harder as you go on they are not so hard that you get frustrated. This game is fair on pricing and you don't HAVE to buy anything. I have found a game that I will actually recommend to EVERYONE I know. I have never downloaded a game that I wasn't a little disappointed about, and I am writing my first review EVER because I am 100% happy with this game. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
