Forced subscription and 5 minute survey

Im trying to get a simple fasting app and immediately upon opening after download this app im required to make an account, enter all my details, and after 5 minutes of questions and life interview im required to pay a subscription with no option of declining. Apps like these are obnoxious and a waste of time.

Old version was better

The old view or display of all months together was way better and more encouraging than viewing month by month alone , i am so frustrated from this new update. And also what’s average hours of fasting during the month? This is frustrating too.
Please please go back to old view and total hours of fasting during the month accumulated. I was a big fan of this app now i am thinking to uninstall because of these unreasonable changes. This is not an update this is stupid.

From Perfect to Pathetic

I’ve been using this app for YEARS. Since around 2019. And let me tell you— it’s a shell of what it once was. It started as an app with all the functionality I needed: it allowed me to track my fasts, view my past fasts, and track my weight in a weekly, monthly, and yearly view for FREE. Then all these new features began to be added. Log your meals and you mood when your finish your fast and log your sleep, for free, and you could see the different stages of your fasts and get additional insight and fasting advice, for a subscription. Since then they’ve added log your water intake. Log your calories and your protein intake. Log your glucose, your ketone levels, your activity, and your heart rate. But you can only actually view any of your OWN data from the current week. You used to be able to see your fasts in a calendar view that told you your total fasting hours for the month and an overview of how many times you met your goals that month, plus your total fasting history if you chose to scroll back in time in the calendar, and additionally you could see your fasting hours, as well as your weight logs in a graph view for the current week, month, and year to see the trends of how you were doing. Well now even those feature are paywalled. Which guess what? Makes the app pretty close to useless unless you’re paying for a subscription. And you know what else? If I was a new user testing out the app, I would immediately delete it, because there’s not even enough bare minimum functionality TO TEST at this point. The ONLY thing you can still do at this point is track your fasts for the current week, as well as the other things for the current week. This app started with the idea of making healthy fasting more accessible and easier to establish for everyday people. Well congratulations, you’ve now succeeded at doing just the opposite and leaning completely into greed. And it’s for these reasons that I am leaving your app. Some of the initial paid features, I actually was hoping to utilize at some point, when I had more money. But as time went on, the free functionality became less and less, and even though I eventually had enough money to cover a subscription, I decided not to pay for one, because it was clear that more and more the app was about greed than about helping people. And finally, I have had it. When an app leaves everything to be desired and delivers nothing upfront (for free), it gives new users no reason to want to continue with that app. If I was trying out the app for the first time, there’s nothing for me to even utilize to gauge wether or not the paid features would be worth it. People are tired of subscriptions everywhere. Tired of every penny being squeezed when nearly 50% of people are living paycheck to paycheck and are worrying about if they’ll have enough money to pay rent AND afford groceries. This app has gone from practically perfect when it started to absolutely controlled by greed and worthless to those who can’t afford to give in to that greed. And is the app great if you pay for it? Sure. But about half of the features included used to be free. So is the app really better? Or are they just charging for things that unnecessarily? I think the answer is obvious. So this is the end. Goodbye and good riddance.

Whyyyy change the app???

Ive been using this fasting app since 2020. Just to hit "start fast" & "End fast" thats all! Just to track my hours. Rn it forced me to update to log my ended fast. Updated. When i clicked on it now it makes me pay!!!! Theres no way around it no X to the subscription nothinggg. Now you have to pay to simply loggg your fast! Bye. Ruined it.

I have been using it for years

I've been using Zero for many years, both Free and Plus. In my case, it's not about losing weight; it's about feeling healthier and seeing how it affects my energy.

Extended Fasting

If you’re interested in fasting for longer than 7 days this app will not allow you to plan for it. Don’t recommend it because failing to plan is planning to fail. I want an app that will allow me to impute my actual goals. The Easy Fast app seems like a better option for now. Trying to find an app that will work with me, not against me. But because of this I’m running multiple apps at a time while fasting because I want to review my full fasting history when I reach the finish line.

Nearly perfect

This app is the best by far when it comes to fasting and tracking your nutrition. I’ve tried everything else including MyFitnessPal, Garmin and others and this app has the absolute best and most accurate image taking a food you’re eating and translating that into a reliable record.

Why is it only nearly perfect? Because it doesn’t have integration into Garmin natively. It says you need to go through the Apple Health app but that doesn’t bring my nutrition stats into Garmin Connect. Nail this integration and I’m a customer for life.

TIME ZONE FAIL

This is an outstanding app but doesn’t seem to work well when traveling. Please add time zone support.

No way to use for free

As others have said, jumped thru a load of hoops to get set up and then no way to get past nag screen for the 7-day trial!
I’m sorry but I hate shady apps like this - we all know the trials are set up hoping you forget to cancel.
Also, if you’re gonna do a trial, what results is anyone gonna see after 7 days?!!

Limited to 168 hours.

Great and easy to use app unfortunately it only goes up to 168 hours/7 days. This forces me to use other apps they do the same function/have the same features? Ask: please change this limitation.

Can’t get past the “free trial then 89.99 a year” screen..

I downloaded this app which seemed perfect for my weight tracking goals and was recommended. Every time I open the app, you can’t get past the subscription screen. It is advertised as free with ad ons, but no matter what I do there’s no X or way to get past this screen asking for money!

Updating my 1 star review to 4 stars!

Works as designed - super easy to track fasting!

Not Free.

Not Free. Got to pay like every app now days.

maybe dont force me to get a free trial

i dont want a free trial. just let me use the app. its stupid u have me fill out all that info just to hide everything behind a pay wall even if its a “free trial” i dont want a trial i just want the app.

Best addition to my fitness routine this year!

Happened upon Zero. Pleased by their customer service and straight forward approach to key metrics - hours / protein / water / fiber. Total game-changer.
