Cant read the tiny fonts. Also cant read message as the background ref color fades out the tiny grey text on warnigs. Also message text covers up the numbers pad
Wirklich sehr gelungene App, aber…
Die Funktionen in der App sind wirklich gut gemacht doch leider gibt es auch bei der aktuellen Version massive Verbindungsprobleme über Tor. Es lässt sich oft einfach nicht direkt in der App über Tor verbinden. Hier muss sehr oft immer in der App deaktiviert werden und Orbot oder Ähnliches genutzt werden. Um das Problem zumindest für länger zu beheben muss die komplette Konfiguration gelöscht oder sogar die komplette App neu installiert werden. Dies ist leider sehr sehr sehr nervig und alles andere als praxistauglich. Unterwegs ist es alles andere als leicht sich mit seinem Node über SSH dann Zeus neu zu verbinden. Ohne Rechner ist das für die meisten User nahezu unmöglich von unterwegs. Wenn diese ständigen Verbindungsprobleme beseitigt werden würden, gäbe es von mir 5 Sterne. Auf dem aktuellen Stand kann man sich leider auf Zeus nicht wirklich verlassen. Für tägliche Zahlungen unterwegs muss das Ganze deutlich zuverlässiger laufen. Wenn man an der Kasse feststellt dass Zeus mal wieder nicht funktioniert ist es leider zu spät um noch irgendetwas zu retten.

User interface is so clean. Connecting via lnconnect was simple. Don’t be afraid to run a node! Zeus is the wallet you need!

With LNC and connected to my home node, it’s about as close to custodial Lightning on a phone, without being custodial, as it gets.
Cash Grab
Requires at least 100k sats ($100 as of Nov 26 ‘24) transaction to set up lightning node (out of which minimum $10k sats are deducted as “fee”)
Other wallets like muun, breeze or phoenix don’t require this.
Also, the complexity of the technology isn’t sufficiently abstracted away from the user. It should ideally be available for those who like wasting away their free time getting to understand how things work but hidden away for people who have to work for a living, couldn’t be bothered or just want to get things done.

Bad user experience
Walked into a bitcoin bar with $95 worth of bitcoin. Turns out I needed ~$100 to open a state channel to make the lightning payment. Had to go purchase more bitcoin on an exchange only to find out that the channel was going to take several hours to open. Eventually had to give up and pay with fiat.

Sorry to hear you had a poor experience. We hope you try out the latest version of the app. We've added a new 'Purchase inbound channel' service that will allow you to get onboarded for 6-7k sats on the low end. In your case, fees could have potentially been high due to a spike of usage on the blockchain. Purchasing in advance, and getting set up while in a low fee environment, like we're in now, is more economical.
