Excellent for beginners
Great app, learning quickly and it’s super easy and convenient
Payment
I did my first mini lesson, and I answered all the questions so it’d create the right path for me, but then it’s asking me to pay to continue. There is no x button, so you have to pay for it to use it. As a 13 year old who has always wanted to learn ASL, and seen this app everywhere, I got excited to try it just to figure out I have to pay. I am disappointed and will be finding a different app to learn ASL on.

So good!
This app is GREAT FOR teaching sign both as a refresher and as a new student. My toddler is speech delayed but responds to sign really well. I’m so glad it is a voiceless app, it is so much easier to integrate removing the reliance of voiced content.
Paying
It would be very nice if the reviews didn’t always say “ we have free trials that you could try out” even though you’ll still have to pay no matter what and also I downloaded this app because of Jared Huseby thinking that it would be free although it’s not and I need to learn ASL because I have to babysit two deaf kids during for the next four years like at this point I’m gonna download a different app

It honestly seems like it would be a good app but you can only learn basic signs that literally any other app can teach you before you have to pay. And the free trial is only 3 days

Best ASL app ever
In my opinion it’s the best app to learn you can take the time you need to learn and they even have a space for the sign if you need to remember them instead of searching it for a long time honestly i recommend it to everyone who wants to learn and it’s not even expensive if i could give more star i would (sorry for my english it’s not my first language)

awesome app! one request…
i’ve had a great experience so far. i’ve learned 60+ signs in about 30–60 minutes of using this app, which says a lot about how engaging and fun it is. it honestly feels like a better version of duolingo that’s actually worth paying for. with duolingo, i always feel like i’m just reading the language and translating it back to english in my head. but with ziggy asl (i’m new to asl), it’s helped me break that habit. it really pushes you to immerse yourself and “talk” in asl by feeling what you want to say instead of thinking in english first.
i’ve never spent this much time on a language app, and it’s been worth the money so far. i’m excited to go back to my asl class at school and show off the new signs i’ve picked up. learning during the lessons feels natural, and i love the visual experience of seeing each sign, especially with the slow‑motion option.
the only issue i have is that the videos are mirrored. it makes it harder to understand which hand is supposed to be dominant since it isn’t labeled. an update that highlights the dominant and nondominant hand would help a lot. i’ve noticed i’ve accidentally been using my nondominant hand because that’s what the mirrored video shows lol. a simple highlight would be a great reminder for which hand to use for certain signs.
overall, really solid app. i’m happy with it :)

Awesome but has a bug
Every time I open back up the app I Ave to redo like 10 sections saying that they are only 96% or something complete whenever I’ve already done that section at least 10 times now and then I have to do the refresher over and over again even though I’m getting everything correct then once I go through those 10 sections again I start to be given new material. But other than that I love it

Reverted my progress the moment my trial ran out, they should definitely look to improve the app with a free experience like Duolingo

Lousy app
Not good place to learn from people on Ziggy because they teach a lot of errors signs and advantage $$$… also spread misinformation. I suggest people not to learn from those people on Ziggy…
ASL Should Be Deaf-Led, Not Paywalled
As a Deaf person, I’m disappointed that Ziggy is not Deaf-managed or Deaf-led. The Deaf Community has been teaching and sharing ASL for free for years, through Deaf educators and creators.
Charging a subscription to learn sign language is a NO for me. ASL is a language and an important part of Deaf culture—not simply something to package behind a paywall.
I strongly encourage people to support Deaf-led ASL resources and Deaf educators instead. Deaf people should have a central voice in how our language and culture are taught.

Duolingo for ASL, but better
Ziggy ASL feels like a better version of Duolingo, but built specifically for learning sign language. It’s simple, engaging, and makes practicing ASL feel easy to stick with. The lessons are clear, the app is really well designed, and the overall experience feels much more natural for learning a visual language. Easily one of the best ASL learning apps I’ve tried.

My favorite ASL app
I really like this, it makes learning ASL feel simple and enjoyable instead of overwhelming. The lessons are easy to follow, and i love being able to practice at my own pace . This is a great app!
Dang they don’t give you a choice of payment. It’s only $50 year
That is not smart because if you’re 12 and you’re trying to learn sign language and your parents can’t pay that how are you gonna learn they don’t even give you a choice. It’s just you learn a couple things that are basic and then they hit you with the money $50 yearly
