About
ZIØN is a peer-to-peer end-to-end encrypted messenger built on a simple principle: every device is its own server.
NO SERVER. NO CLOUD. NO RELAY.
Your messages travel directly between you and your contact over the internet — never through any infrastructure we control. ZIØN uses
zero-server UDP hole punching to establish a direct WAN peer-to-peer channel between phones anywhere in the world. There is no ZIØN
backend. We cannot read your messages because they never pass through anywhere we can read them from.

HONEST DISCLOSURE
ZIØN is experimental software and has not undergone formal independent cryptographic audit. For communications where compromise would cause
severe harm, use audited solutions like Signal. ZIØN is designed for users who want a second private channel between trusted devices.
The app contacts public IP-discovery services (ipify, ifconfig.me, icanhazip, checkip.amazonaws) once at startup to learn its own public
address for NAT traversal — required to connect peer-to-peer through home routers and mobile networks.
REQUIREMENTS
iPhone 13 or later. iOS 17 or later. Face ID or Touch ID recommended.
