Lots of room for improvement
I should’ve written this review a long time ago. I have been
using Zinio for a long time, probably over 10 years. It was quite revolutionary at the time. Over time, the quality has gone down
substantially. I used to use the text view frequently to read magazines. Almost always now this does not work. It
brings up a very tiny font. There has been absolutely no innovation that I can
remember. For example, it could be much easier to navigate a magazine with
voice i.e. go to page 85.

Easy to access, huge variety, PDF ready. Great value.
Continues to be a great app
The app is great. Able to read easily. Downloads are speedy. Customer service is top notch as well.
Not enough magazines to pick from
With all the magazines out there ZINIO has very narrow selection it’s also has no warning when your subscription is almost over
Terrible app
I stumbled on this app while looking for Apple News alternative, but it was nothing but disappointment. I couldn’t even get to sign up for an account because I kept getting notifications that they’re experiencing technical difficulties. What a lame app!
Doesn’t work half the time!!!
It would be nice if this actually worked!! I constantly have to use the desktop site to see my magazines. Why don’t you make an app that actually works?!?

Great way to read lots of mags, without having a pile of them!
Keeps getting worse and less user friendly.
Every update seems to be a bit worse than the last. Most annoying new feature. Removal of all my downloaded magazines. Went on holiday, to discover that most of my downloaded magazines are gone. Had to go find Wifi and waste time redownloading. I resent being stuck with this horrible app to view my favourite mags. So much that I have cancelled subscriptions to 2 magazines that I would otherwise keep reading.

So slow to load
Very frustrating app - it takes so long to load even with high speed WiFi connection on my iPhone 14. Every time I try to use it I am met by the wheel of downloading doom and give up. I recommend first buying just one issue of the magazine you want to subscribe to check if you also have this problem.

My only option for unusual Model Railways, started taking in paper version many moons ago when on holiday in France. Now have digital version and just love the Mag.

Doesn’t open on iPad
All software is current and yet the Zinio app won’t open. Tapping the app icon just opens as a flash up and immediately dissipates.
Doesn’t work on iPad
I’m running iPadOS 26.1 and this app closes immediately upon opening. This developer isn’t responsive nor are they even trying to fix the app!
