Convenient and easy to use
I've been using ZipCloud for a few years and I find it very convenient and easy to use.
- At under AUD$10/month it's good value
- Scheduled backups of my PC ensure that I always have a recent copy, and multiple previous copies, of all my documents and photos. I'd like to have my videos backed up as well, but I'm not prepared to pay the premium for that.
- I love the Sync Folder that allows me to keep my most important documents where I can easily access them from my phone any time and anywhere. When travelling, I keep copies of my travel documents etc here so I can always access a copy if the hard copies are lost/stolen
- The browser portal allows me to access a recent backup of any of the documents on my PC from anywhere. It's a bit clunky but very convenient if I desperately need something when I'm not at home
- The biggest problem I regularly have is that the app on my PC seems to always tell me that I've run out of space, or my account has expired, around the time when the auto-renewal is scheduled to occur. I've learned to ignore this and try again later, but it means that my PC is sometimes unable to back itself up on schedule.
- One minor annoyance is that the browser portal shows the time stamp of all my backed up files in the timezone of the server which is somewhere in the USA. This means that I need to mentally convert to my local timezone (is that +16 or +14 hours) when I want to restore a file from a specific time
Overall this is a great app and one of the best purchases I've made for peace of mind regarding the safety of my data.

RIP OFF STOP NOW!!!
I purchased the "unlimited" plan and various other optional enhancements like rapid video upload, etc. What I found was complete misrepresentation and a plan to keep up charging for more space, denying video uploads (amateur GoPro footage) due to "we said unlimited but what we meant was unlimited based on what average people using the app upload." WHAT??? It's a ripoff company, provides no avenue to cancel the account on the app, and it charges you for every nickel and dime option. I'm trying to stop it now but they make it very difficult. WHAT IS UNLIMITED???? You'd be best to stop right now and seek a reputable company. Seek other options my friends.

Now I Understand why This is Worthless
Pretty sneaky. The same company has an app called ZipCloud and one called JustCloud. I cancelled ZipCloud last year and thought JustCloud was unrelated. But they commingled the two so my supposed JustCloud log in sends me to ZipCloud. And they are double billing me. I think I'll drop in the next time I visit my sister who lives in the UK.

Waste of my time.
Along with all the people who reviewed before me- I agree with all of it. Only 15mb for free, annual fees, slow uploads, glitches all over the place.... Not worth it.
Also- when I went to delete my account, they basically got down on their knees and begged to keep me! (Not a bad thing, kindof cute but a bit pathetic from a business standpoint)

Needs work
Although this app does what it claims, it is very unstable. Any other activity on the iPad or over the Internet interrupts the backup, despite the purported ability to run in the background. The network connection is not robust and drops frequently. New settings are not maintained after a logout. Support is timely and polite, but not able to solve problems or answer questions .
Costly upgrades do not work as advertised or may not be applied. Stuck with it for now but looking for alternative.

Fraudulent Charges Persist
Canceled this terrible and expensive service in January 2015. Just found they have resumed recurring billing of my paypal account. I am furious.
Not user friendly
This cloud storage is archaic and clumsy. It won't even play videos I've put into the cloud, it just keeps loading and then nothing. I am looking for an alternative.
Don't use!
I don't even know where they got my email but they just kept sending me emails trying to lecture me about backing up my files and push me to subscribe to their services. When I click "unsubscribe" within the email they sent me, instead of taking me to a page to unsubscribe, it directly take me to sigh up with their services. It's totally a scam.

Unlimited storage ran out
I had enjoyed using zip cloud and recommended it to many others until i got an error message that I was out of space. I upgraded to an UNLIMITED space subscription and recently got a message to upgrade my account as I was out of space!
I contacted support and was told that I had used too much space as I was using more than others on the unlimited plan.
Do not purchase this unless you have small amounts of data to backup.

Can't sign up
Every time I try to sign up it says my email is in use. I've never had an account before.
Worst app ever
When i asked to unsubscribe, it took about a 4 hour process. You cannot do it on your phone, it has to be on the computer. I just delete my account hoping that i do not ever get email back again, if that doesnt work i guess were all stuck. LOOK OUT, DONT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS RETARDED APP.
Worst app I have ever purchased! By a mile!
Truly awful!!! Should be zero stars! Incredibly slow, incredibly confusing layout, constant pops selling features that should be included. Plus, when you delete files you have to wait up to 24 hours for the space to be cleared! Lame. Last backup took 18 hours to back up 753 photos and I have a lot of bandwidth. Their servers must be on dial up. I bought 75gb of back up but I am deleting everything and moving to a real cloud storage company. Shame on these bozos.

Downright negligent!
These guys canceled my subscription 4 months ago and didn't tell me. Only problem is that it looks like I'm being backed-up but when I looked for files they were all 4 months old, nothing new. I sent an inquiry and was told that some how I had breached the agreement but I still don't know what I did wrong...and I don't care. Get thee behind me satan!

Great now bugs have been sorted
The app is simple and easy to use. Works well and allows me to back up the photos I take on my phone instantly.

Not happy with service and no refunds
Since this is an in app purchase Apple does not refund and this company will not refund either. 69.00 us not a small amount. Buyer beware! I am told this will resurface for yearly payment too .So now I have to cancel my credit card in order to stop this. It's not listed under manage subscriptions but this company now has my bank info to do recurring payments.

Good enough
If you are someone who back up very big files in the cloud I am not sure this is the perfect could service for you, although I don't know how well the fast upgrade work. The thing I like here is the devise source for every file , something I can't say about Dropbox. And far less expensive than most could services. It is working fine for me.

JustCloud and ZipCloud are scams. The apps are don't work and they won't let you cancel! They just keep charging your credit card!

Careful....this Company called JDI backup has 7 apps with different names , doing exactly the same thing! IT doesn't work. I lost over a hundred bucks on the JustCloud app...this one is the same!
Fake 5 Stars?
I always weary of a whole bunch of 5 star reviews that say nothing, such "it's great", "perfect",etc, without any other feedback. 10 reviews on Nov 15 with the new release of the app? Doubt it.
This app needs to enable file sharing at the folder level, not file level, to be useful. Try sharing your pictures. You can't. You have to mail or share each file separately.
You cannot search for files. You better know what it is called and where it is located.
Other than that, the service is expensive, but does what it says. The upsales, which begin the next day with generic emails that pretend to be from a direct relationship person. Try responding or asking a question and you realize you are corresponding with a robot/computer.
If you want basic back up, ability to access a file you know by location and name, this does the job.
