Long ago, people could make cheap int’l calls by calling a toll-free number, entering a long PIN, the foreign number and hoping they didn’t type anything in wrong. Those days are gone.
ZippCall is the same thing only better, because it comes with an app and a simple phone dialing interface and no PIN to remember. And, it costs $0.02/minute to call Portugal from the US, instead of $3.00/minute with T-Mobile.
I figured I was going to be on hold for a business call for at least three minutes, so I might as well take my chances and spend $10 on ZippCall just to see if it worked. It did.
The only downside that I see is that my caller ID doesn’t show my number to the person I’m calling. On the other hand, is that worth $30 to me for a ten minute call? Um, no.

Great App Recommended
I stumbled on this app when Skype merged with Teams and became unworkable for international calls. So a couple of years back. I have used ZippCall in Brazil, Spain and most of Europe. . It’s amazingly cost effective and I have had zero problems. Recommended.

Great Skype replacement
After Skype was discontinued, I was concerned that my calls from the US to England and Europe would be very expensive.
I tried Microsoft Teams and was disappointed. ZippCall nicely solves the problem. I now use it for my calls and it works great! The calls are clear and extremely cheap. Thanks for developing this important, well-done app.

Might be a scam…
I paid 20 to the app and made a call. It said there was 11 remaining. I opened the app to make another call. It logged me out. And when I logged in again, the balance was zero. Very disappointed. Time to email Apple.

Not cheap at all
The calls are more expensive and actually very expensive. 70 cents a minute. You can’t have a phone book so every time you have to put the number you calling to. Will never recommend to anyone. Now, I can’t delete my account.

There are some countries where rates are higher due to network costs that are out of control, we always offer the best price for a destination that we possible can and we are always working to bring costs down. A 'contacts' feature that syncs with your phone contacts is on our roadmap and will be released in the future. You can completely delete your ZippCall account anytime from the 'Profile' page in our app.

Used this whilst in the USA to call home, my network provided wanted £30 bolt on for a week, only spent £2 with zippcall. I was impressed with its ease!
