Forced to Use?
I’m glad this app lets me use CarPlay on my Android car stereo, but shouldn’t the give you some sort of ability to customize setup? Your app is like showing up to a concert for your favorite band, but no one is there but you. No other audience members, no T-shirt vendors, no overpriced food vendors, and no band. So you can have all the elbow room you want! You can even walk all the way upfront to where the bouncers sit (when there are - in fact - bouncers present, which there are not). You can choose the best seat in the whole arena! But no band, and no one is even going to believe your story because the establishment would never just leave the doors open and all the lights on.
