Mauvaises statistiques

Come on les dés sortent beaucoup trop souvent en faveur du cpu vs les probabilités…

Definitely rigged unless you..

I played 30 l, yes 30 straight games and lost each one. The Ai would get doubles and triples of brains with each roll but my character would only get one and then get shotgunned.
Get the real game. Not worth it even if it’s free or .99.

Needs work

Needs a button to fast forward the computers turn. Also the ad for the paid version said play with friends. You can’t do that at all. All the paid version does is add more computer zombies to the game. Hitting new game doesn’t work. It will be the same game you were playing.

RNG is not very random

AI rolls brains while player rolls shotguns. Needs to use a better API for RNG.

Cool little game

But I miss the dinosaur game that was made by the same company. Same idea but cuter than the zombie one. Still, one is better than none!

Needs more mechanics

To preface this review I want to say I love the real dice game! Play a few rounds almost daily with my 8 year old son. However it’s a very simple game with few mechanics and this is where the app falls short. The app is incredibly boring and not engaging. You just tap once and then sit. When you have a simplistic game like this you need to add some fun albeit superfluous mechanics. Dice are fun because you throw them. Watching a zombie hand drop dice is incredibly boring. A simple flip mechanic with your finger to simulate you throwing the dice and the dice animations showing the dice tumbling around more would be a huge improvement. Also animating the icons on the dice. Have the brain be squishy and pulsating, have the shotgun symbol explode outward maybe a little smoke rising from them and show the feet running off the dice. Things like this would make the app a lot more stimulating and engaging. As it stands now it doesn’t hold my attention at all. It needs to feel more like throwing dice and I would love this app.

Fun, but needs update

Doesn’t fill iPad mini 6 screen. A bug occasionally starts me with 4 coins instead of none. Could use expansion dice from Horde physical edition too.

Needs more stats. Change 1 rule!

There are 2 expansions…

Are they ever going to be added into this digital game?

I’d play a LOT more if I could see total games played, total won, total lost, win%, loss%, avg score One rule change in this game would make it more strategic; let us CHOOSE which dice to add to the 3 we get to roll. Ex; start game, I might want to CHOOSE 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green. I roll red shotgun, feet for the other yellow and green. I re-roll those 2 dice AND a third that I get to CHOOSE!! (This is how we play the yphysical game). This game should let us choose when appropriate... this would eliminate some RANDOMNESS in this game. Btw, I payed the $.99 and it lets me add more ai players but so far I’ve seen a whole 2 additional animations. Thats kinda LAME. AT LEAST add different graphic-mugshot faces for the different zombie opoonents (ai) that we play against. And GameCenter achievements are registering... the game sees my nickname but the achievements are not happening (i know i’ve achieved them but GC icon does not enable). There can be soooooo much more to this game. As it is, its too random, too basic, not enough stats... what a shame for a digital game.

Like the physical dice game.

It’s like playing the physical game. Bummer there are no expansion dice included. Also there is a bug: if you quit a game without finishing it and then start a a new game, the old participants will begin with their old score.

Frustrated with the bugs

Brilliant game overall, and though I like many things about this digital version such as the zombies voice and the overall simplicity, there are just too many problems to make it worth playing. I even paid for the upgraded version and my achievements are still not unlocking as they should be. Ways to make this more enjoyable would be getting the achievements working (and maybe even add more achievements to give the game some longevity, adding additional statistics to log and track, letting us have more control over the dice (forces a reroll when you don’t score brains which I don't see anywhere in the original rule book), perhaps different zombie skins to play against, and explain somewhere what the Game Center nickname is, how it effects the game, and make it so that it remembers your selection so that you don’t have to reselect it every time. I’m not too savvy with modern tech so I’m sure some of the fault here lies on me, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement to make it more user friendly and less clunky. Overall, I think this is a really amazing game and I hope it gets the love and attention it deserves. Meanwhile, I will be feasting on the brains from my hardcopy of the game and checking back here for updates. Please don’t overlook the potential of this digital version of a masterpiece dice game!!!

Rigged

This game is rigged sooo bad that you can’t even use it to pass time and have fun. I was 11 and the computer was 3.. he got 7 brains then 6 his next turn while I got 3 shotguns and 4 brains in the 2 turns that he got 13 brains. And that’s how it happens ALL THE TIME. They tried making it harder but they coded it so the computer wins every time. So dumb but I guess I expect nothing less from SJG.

Play the physical copy.

Could not enjoy this game, even though I am a huge fan of the physical game. Every round I played, if I had one shotgun and choose to roll again, I would get two shotguns and end my turn. I would then watch the AI score 7 in one turn. I played 7 games. Each game had the same issue. Deleted afterwards.

Fun but...

Other reviewers are correct, the odds of winning against the machine are not quite right. Also, it would be nice to know which round you are in of the overall game to make choices on how daring you need to be to win.

It’s dope

My dice version will always be my favourite but it’s a good app for what it tries to be.

RNG is not very random

AI rolls brains while player rolls shotguns. Needs to use a better API for RNG.

Never played the physical version

This game seems like a great time passer. It would be very easy to teach and a fun party game as long as you have something else to play alongside it. Definitely considering getting the real thing.

Problème sur le multi

Après avoir acheté l'application, on ne peut plus jouer à plusieurs

Multiplayer whaaaat

We love Steve Jackson games but wish the developer would support the games we have bought. Can’t use upgraded (1$) multiplayer on additional devices and no updates to any of the dice games in forever (can’t even play Dino dice anymore). Hello Steve Jackson are you there???

P.S. please do munchkin on iPad!!😬👍

Braaaaaaaaains

Cute game.
Not a lot of strategy. Roll until you die, or play it safe and eat a few brains at a time.

I keep hoping they add in the ‘extras’ available with the physical dice game.

Fun way to eat up a few minutes.
Watch out for those shotguns!
