About
Zone Pulse Wave is a logic puzzle built around the most satisfying moment in a Venn diagram — the instant something lands in the intersection and belongs to both worlds simultaneously.
Two luminous circles float on a dark canvas. One glows teal. One glows amber. Their overlap blazes gold — the brightest point on the screen, brighter than either circle alone. Items appear in a tray below: Eagle, Duck, Fish, Butterfly, Dolphin. Each one belongs somewhere. The player taps the item, then taps the zone: left crescent for the teal circle only, right crescent for the amber circle only, the gold lens for items that belong to both, the surrounding canvas for items that belong to neither.
Every correct placement sends a ring of light pulsing outward from the zone. Every item placed in the intersection triggers something different: the chip briefly splits into two halves — teal on the left, amber on the right — both natures visible simultaneously for a fraction of a second before the halves merge into a single glowing gold form. A duck flies and swims. A knife is metal and cuts. An owl belongs to night and silence both. The split lasts less than a second. It is the best moment in the game.
The intersection grows brighter with every correct item placed inside it. So does each exclusive zone as it fills. The diagram is not a static diagram. It responds to the player's logic, brightening where they are right, glowing back down when they leave items incorrectly placed. A wrong placement sends a red ring outward from the boundary and returns the item to the tray.
Three round types. In Split rounds, categories are labelled and items arrive to be sorted — the core mechanic, fast and satisfying. In Decode rounds, items are already placed and the categories are hidden: the player must reverse-engineer what each circle represents from the evidence of what sits where. In Forge rounds, only the intersection is shown. The player must invent two categories that make those specific items correctly overlap — and then live by the categories they created, placing additional items using their own invented logic.
When the last item of a round is correctly placed, all three zones pulse white simultaneously. The two circles expand and flow together into a single blazing white bloom. Then the bloom contracts, and the completed diagram holds at peak brightness for two seconds before the score appears.
