Fun and Educational Game!

Playing this exercises my brain :) i've played this for a while and enjoy the difficulty levels and different approaches to problem solving. Wondering if there's a mod that could be done to help if you're colorblind, to help differentiate the nose colors, since they influence many of the trials the Binis go through. Thank you!

Wish I could hear the sound

I cannot hear the sound on the game anymore, but I love this game so much. I wish the sound would get fixed! I have tried everything to fix it

Requires Internet

Found out the hard way it needs a internet connection to launch otherwise just hangs at the loading screen. Kept asking me to rate the app each time I opened it but clicking the button to review does nothing, so I am hoping leaving this tepid review solves the issue. Devs, is this what you were hoping for pestering for feedback?

A few bugs, but awsome!

Only bug for me so far is that when I got to the lion with all sixteen , they weren’t there when I was there, then it sent them all back to start, great game though

No sound

Game looks fun but there is no sound so I can’t hear what the tasks are

Was enjoying till it bumped me up to harder level

This was a fun little game at first. I liked puzzling out how to solve each level and liked that the solution was different each time. But then…….the game decided I should go up to a harder level. Now I can’t find any thing that the Zoombinis have in common to get them through a level And forget making the right pizza I try every combination and it’s still not right for at least one troll. I’m not having fun anymore

A trip down nostalgia lane

I have very fond memories of playing this on my school’s computers and never having enough time to ever finish the quests. I’m so glad I get to play it again, even as an adult! I honestly never thought I would find this game again, and the fact that it’s now in app form for a new generation to enjoy and experience is truly wonderful. I adore the animation, art, characters and the puzzles and I’m so glad that I can now tell people about it and can prove it’s real!

Game has started using nag screens

Nag screens for reviews and flashing stars that interrupt the game when you’re about to win a level are very annoying and have just come in after the latest updates. Please remove them in the next update so we can go back to peacefully enjoying the game.

Edit 6/26: Still waiting for the nag screen and annoying flashing stars in the middle of the game while you are enjoying shepherding your final zoombinis to safety to go away. Please get rids of these asap.

No sound

No sound when I download it

Was 5 stars, now 1. Here’s why

They made it where you have to have Wi-Fi to play… WHY?! It was perfect the way it was. I paid for the app so it could be played on car trips and for over a year it worked. Then it updated and now it can’t be played off Wi-Fi.

The game is what it was on PC, PERFECTION. everyone plays this game in our house, kids and adults… well they did. We all HATE the update.

Cool

I like how they keep the original audio, but some reason I can’t pay…

Love this game

Always used to play this game as a kid and it’s so great that they brought it back! Fantastic!

Bad

I hate it you have to make all zoombinens and the levels suck and that’s why

Why I rated this game only one star

Absolutely terrible design. I prefer the original version for the computer from 1996 SO much better. I remember the first time I ever played this version. I was actually confused about how some of the levels worked, as I found out they were not all designed to work in the same way. For example on “Bubblewonder Abyss” on the “Oh So Hard” difficulty, there are colored switches that you have to be aware of and figure out when to hit them. On the computer version, these colored switches do not appear on this stage on the “Oh So Hard” difficulty, thus making it MUCH harder to figure out on the mobile version. I have also noticed that on the computer version, for the “Fleens” stage on the “Very Hard” difficulty, only 3 of the 4 zoombinis features are mixed up compared to the Fleens and only one is the same, but on the mobile version all the features between the Fleens and Zoombinis are mixed up, so there is literally no difference on this stage on this difficulty from the “Very Very Hard” difficulty. I have also noticed that on the “Allergic Cliffs” stage for every difficulty except “Not So Easy” there are always exactly 8 Zoombinis on both paths on the computer version but this is not the case for this version, thus making this version MUCH harder. I have also noticed that on the computer version for the “Stone Cold Caves” stage on both “Very Hard” and “Very Very Hard”, there are always exactly 4 Zoombinis in each of the 4 caves, making it evenly split just like the “Allergic Cliffs” stage, however this is not the case on the mobile version, as some caves can hold up to 8 or 9 Zoombinis at once while another only has 2, which makes it WAY too complicated.

One of the biggest things about the mobile version that I don’t like is that I’ve noticed a lot of differences on both the “Mudball Wall” and “Mirror Machine” stages. On the computer version, the “Mudball Wall” stage on “Very Very Hard”, one of the 3 features (outer color, shape, inner color) will always determine what section of the wall the Mudball will fire in, one will determine what column within each individual section of the wall the Mudball will fire in, and the third will get shifted diagonally. The one thing I’ve noticed in all my years of playing this stage on the computer version, is that row never matters. Like there will never be one specific feature that determines what row the Mudball will fire in; that only happens on the “Very Hard” difficulty; however I’ve discovered that sometimes the rows will actually have a constant feature in the mobile version, and this is never the case on the computer version, and I’ve also noticed on the computer version, the pattern for whatever feature gets shifted diagonally will always be either down 1 and to the left 2, or down 1 and to the right 2; however on the mobile version, it can sometimes be down 1 and to the left only 1, or down 1 and to the right only 1 and this really tends to throw me off at times. I remember the first time I ever played this version back in December 2024, I was so confused about how this stage worked while I can solve it any day when playing on the computer.

I have also noticed a lot of differences on the “Mirror Machine” stage, also on the “Very Very Hard” difficulty. I know that on the computer version, when dealing with the blinking filters, they will only change for the second Zoombini if the 2 Zoombinis on whatever side of the mirror don’t happen to be matching whatever feature is blinking. For example, if you were to put a blinking hair filter down on the left side, and one Zoombini on that side had Shaggy Hair and the other had a Ponytail, it would change for the second Zoombini, whereas if they both had flat tops, it wouldn’t change for the second Zoombini and would stay the same for both Zoombinis that go through, and the same rules would apply for blinking eye, nose, and feet filters as well. But for some reason on the mobile version, and time I put a blinking filter down on the RIGHT side, it will always stay the same no matter what, even if the two Zoombinis are not matching whatever feature is blinking, and in order to make it stay the same, you will need to put another filter right behind it, and this is just WAY too complicated, and I don’t think it’s really fair that I had to figure this all out completely on my own, when I know EXACTLY how to beat this stage on the computer.

I have noticed that for “Bubblewonder Abyss” on the “Very Very Hard” difficulty, for the computer version, you can always send 10 Zoombinis on the right side and it will work every single time, however on the mobile version on this stage, there are so many more things you need to beware of, in terms of Zoombinis you can’t send on the right side or will have to or else they will die later on, and sending 10 Zoombinis on the right side will very rarely, if ever, end up working.

There are just so many things about this version compared to the original version on the computer, that make it way too difficult and confusing and make it MUCH less fun to play. However, the one thing that bothers me more than anything else about this version is the fact that you are not allowed to use all 625 Zoombinis and are only allowed to use 400 instead for some reason, which doesn’t even make any sense to me. Yes, it may be true that it does shorten the games length, but it’s not really considered a real victory in the end in my opinion. Also, in order to beat all the paths on every difficulty 3 times, you would basically have to be perfect on each of the middle paths, or else you won’t have enough Zoombinis to beat it the required amount of times. I’ve done the math before and you can only mess up once on either off the middle paths or else you won’t be able to beat them 3 times on all difficulties. This is a big problem for me, because the “Hotel Dimensia” stage on the “Very Hard” difficulty is so easy to screw up, because there is so much luck involved and how you can literally screw your

More Zoombinis Please!

I was so excited to find out that Zoombinis had been made into an app. I grew up playing Mountain Rescue and wish that one was available too! If you’re looking to pass time on your phone in a healthier/alternative way than scrolling, this is a great option. Cute graphics and puzzles that make you think. I hope old and new Zoombinis games will continue to be made - the development team has my support ❤️
