About

Zuying is a family tree app. Give every relative a card, and keep their photos, their voice and their stories on it. A TREE THAT BREATHES Pan and zoom the whole tree. Bloodlines run along the branches, couples are tied by a heart, and the relatives who have died fade gently. KINSHIP, WORKED OUT FOR YOU Great-aunt, first cousin once removed, nephew by marriage. Open anyone and the app tells you what to call them — in the Chinese system of kinship terms as well as the Western one. VOICES AND FACES, KEPT Behind each card is a small museum: photos, voice recordings, videos, written stories. What your grandfather told you once can stay in his own voice. ECHOES The same birthday as your grandmother. The same zodiac animal as your grandfather. A character shared in your names. Both of you a parent at twenty-eight. Zuying finds these across the generations on its own. THE FAMILY ATLAS Put everyone's birthplace on a map and follow one direct line through it: from a grandparent's village to the city you live in now, generations of footsteps joined into one road. FAMILIES FROM THE HISTORY BOOKS Two real family trees are built in: seventy-nine generations of Confucius, and Elizabeth II. Open one and see what a grown tree looks like. YOUR DATA IS YOURS No account to create, nothing uploaded, no ads, no analytics or tracking of any kind. One .zuying file is the entire tree — AirDrop it to a relative and they open a complete copy. FOUR STYLES, SIX LANGUAGES Soft Minimal, Aurora Glass, Warm Playful, Heritage. 简体中文, 繁體中文, English, Español, Français, हिन्दी. — The Map tab sends the address text you typed for a relative to Apple's geocoding service to turn it into coordinates. Only that line of address is sent — never names, photos or stories. See the privacy policy for details.

The Family Atlas now tells the whole move: where someone was born, and where they later settled — generations of footsteps, drawn as one line. New · Your in-laws finally appear, on the same terms as your own side · Places now include China's counties and the main cities of the US and Canada; anything else, your phone can look up on the spot · Two new styles: Peach Bloom and Neon Circuit · The walkthrough gained a step that zooms in for you, so you can read a kinship term and a birthday · Importing a long video shows a frame with a progress ring, and an X in its corner that calls the whole thing off Fixed · Deleting now really deletes. A photo, a recording or a video takes its file with it and the space comes back. Anything left behind by an older version is cleared the first time you open this one · Deleting what you are looking at closes it; recordings could not be deleted at all before · Deleting a story asks first
