Zzang Alarm: Barcode Wake-Up

An alarm you have to get up to turn off. Zzang Alarm isn't an alarm you swipe away. You pick a barcode before bed — the toothpaste in the bathroom, the coffee bag in the kitchen — and the alarm stops only when you walk over and scan it. Choose something far from your bed and you're already up by the time it's off. ■ Four ways to dismiss · Plain — turn it off on screen. Snooze is up to 2 times, 5 minutes each (off by default) · Barcode — only the barcode you registered counts. No other code will do · Voice — read the wake-up phrase you set out loud · Voice + barcode — read the phrase, then scan the barcode too Barcode and voice locks have no snooze. Skipping is the thing you turned them on to prevent. ■ An emergency PIN, so you're never stuck If you lose the item or the camera acts up, there's an emergency PIN. It doesn't show up on demand, though — only after 3 failed attempts, after 5 minutes of ringing, or when scanning isn't possible at all. No alarm here ever switches itself off just because time passed. ■ Your alarm may not ring if you quit the app On iPhone, the alarm runs inside the app. If you force quit it, the alarm may not ring. The app warns you when you're about to quit, and we suggest leaving it open before you go to sleep. Focus mode doesn't silence it — the sound still plays. The notification may not appear right away, though, so allowing Time Sensitive notifications helps. ■ Morning briefing (Pro) Once the alarm is off, it reads today's date and weekday, the weather, and today's schedule, in that order. The reading happens on your device. ■ Schedule and calendar Create events in the app and see them on the calendar. Connect Google or iCloud calendars to see those events alongside yours (read-only). ■ Privacy · There's no company server. Alarms, events, and settings stay on your device · Barcodes aren't stored as-is. Only a hash for matching is kept · The only request the app makes to the outside world is a weather lookup · The briefing is spoken on-device, so event titles never leave your phone ■ What's free Alarms are free with no limit on how many. Barcode and voice locks are free. Creating events and viewing the calendar are free.
