About

ZZZ Lifeline Mesh is a serverless, offline BLE mesh communication tool for disasters. Even when cell towers and networks are down, nearby devices connect directly over Bluetooth and relay (mesh) messages to one another. Features: - SOS and safety ("I'm OK") beacons: broadcast to nearby devices with one tap, optionally attaching your location - One-to-one and group chat with end-to-end encryption (Ed25519 signatures + X25519 key agreement + AES-GCM) - Store-and-forward delivery: messages reach recipients later via relays even if they are out of range now - Pre-registered contacts: register family and friends in advance; they appear by name in a disaster, while unregistered nearby devices appear only as anonymous codes - Public board (broadcast) to reach nearby people you have not paired with - Multi-hop mesh relay (controlled flooding with TTL) reaches devices beyond direct Bluetooth range No internet connection, no account, and no server required. IMPORTANT: This app is a supplement to — not a replacement for — official emergency calls (110/119 in Japan) and government alerts.

What's New in ZZZ Lifeline Mesh

1.0.1

August 11, 2026

Added shelter search and an evacuation map. ■ Shelter search ・Approximately 115,000 designated emergency evacuation sites in Japan are bundled in the app, so you can find the nearest ones by distance even with no network coverage. ・Filter by hazard type: flood, landslide, earthquake, tsunami, large-scale fire, and more. ■ Evacuation map ・See nearby shelters on the map and get a walking route to the one you choose. ・Long-press the map to set a starting point, or set it by searching for a train station or bus stop. ・Tap a shelter pin to see crowding reports that arrived over the mesh. ■ Sharing shelter status ・Share a shelter's crowding level (5 steps) and a short note over the mesh. Your coordinates are never sent — only your distance to the shelter. Note: Shelter data and walking-route search work offline. Displaying the map background (map tiles) requires an internet connection; areas you have already viewed are cached. Note: This app is a supplement to official emergency services, not a replacement. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number first and follow official evacuation information.
