Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: ONews at none against 21财经's shown. ONews also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). 21财经's advantage is ratings volume (260 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. 21财经 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and ONews sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
ONews holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 21财经 has 260 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 94% of 21财经's written reviews are positive against 100% of ONews's.
21财经 ships an update monthly, ONews every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
