About

Sectora

Features

Sectora lays a grid over your picture, so you can draw it on paper cell by cell. Choose a photo, crop it, set the grid the way you like it, and keep the picture beside you while you draw. Or save it and print it. THE GRID • Choose how many cells you want • Square cells, so every cell is the same shape on your paper • Diagonals, for angles and curves • Cell names — A1, B2 — to help you keep your place • Light or dark lines, as thin or as thick as you need • The proportion of your picture is shown, so your paper can match it and nothing stretches BEFORE YOU DRAW Mosaic shows the picture as squares of color. Colors are easier to compare when they sit side by side, without the detail. Squint blurs the picture, as if you half-close your eyes. The details go, the large shapes stay, and you can see whether the composition holds. Touch and hold the picture at any time to see the original. SAVING Save the picture with its grid to Photos at full size, or share it with another app. Pinch to zoom, double-tap to fit. Sectora is useful for portraits, landscapes, still life, copies of paintings, and murals — any time you want to keep the proportions of the original. For iPhone and iPad. Free. No subscription, no purchases, no account. It works offline, and your pictures stay on your device: nothing is uploaded anywhere. Made by Lena Rivo.
